Not to knock anyone's hard work... but you really aren't doing any good pointing anyone to your own sites and graphics and then to the veegeez.com site. It's just a few more seconds they have to consider closing the window. You should have everyone going to veegeez.com directly if possible which will help their search engine ranking. Hopefully no one is advertising their site name over veegeez.com. IP: Logged |

I agree that the intro should be short, especially if subscribers are using the site frequently. Maybe some type graphics that get your attention...but no more than 5 seconds. Cheers to all! IP: Logged |

I absolutely agree 100%. If people happen to go to your site, great, redirect them. But please do not advertise it. Advertise VeeGeez. That's very important.

The best way to get traffic to veegeez is to include TEXT links on all of our individual web sites (I'm sure most of us have at least one!) Google ranks sites by contextual linking methods. In other words, if there are hundreds of web pages that link to www.veegeez.com using the EXACT text video game rentals as the linking text, then anyone searching for "Video game rentals" in google will almost certainly get Veegeez.com first. The key is not so much to drive traffic from your site to Veegeez, but rather to have your site boost Veegeez's own search engine ranking in Google and elsewhere. My suggestion is that everyone include these codes on any web page they can: Video Game Rentals IP: Logged |

I think thats the goal here... its IF they get to ur site... no reason giving ur address out if you arent getting money from it.. it just takes bandwidth... but heck, if they DO get on... why not show sumtin cool and take em to veegeez :P IP: Logged |

As a post-script, a group of about 40-50 people several months ago succeeded in "fooling" Google using exactly the sort of text linking I showed above. They all agreed to include a link to www.whitehouse.gov on their individual web sites (mostly blog sites), using the linking text "Miserable Failure". It doesn't take many people to make this work - 40-50 made it succeed in this case. And I just tried it - if you type "miserable failure" into Google, www.whitehouse.gov still comes up as #2.... Food for thought.... [This message has been edited by dazedtrader (edited February 06, 2004).] IP: Logged |

100 sale means MM needs shares 200 sale means MM needs shares bad-lot of orders he cannot cover 300 sale means MM is going to take price down to get shares 400 sale means trade sideways 500 sale gapping up or down depending on which way the sale went - this one can mean - let the stock find the PPS based on supply-demand, and it can mean hold the PPS at a given figure based on response. Once again I get F**KED by Ameritrade. I gant buy or sell. "Sorry, we do not provide a quote for this OTCBB security." is what I get when I try to sell. I tried to put a sell order in @ .114 this morning, I was going to day trade it, but they wouldnt let me. They have me flaged as a pattern day trader, but they wont let me trade my main position. BS....I am pissed!!! I could have made ALOT of money playing this stock today, but I didnt. Looks like its time to close all 3 of my Ameritrade accounts. I am not going to give my business to a brokerage that doesnt give a S**t about its clients. All it takes is a little effort, and everything would have been fine. Its absolutely amazing, that they have yet to update the servers for the name change. This is a HUGE F-UP....if anyone else here uses the Datek version of Ameritrade, dont let this slide by! This should never ever, ever happen! I have made several calls today, and I will be making more. I will also be sending them a letter, and I am going to email them. IP: Logged |

quote: I have 2 stock acoounts and 1 IRA account w/Ameritrade. Besides todays problem, they often freeze my money if I try to cancel an order. So when I place an order and then the price moves away from my bid, I will cancel and put in a new bid. So if it did happen to go through, and I dont know it for 15min, by the time everything is normal, I could be down 5K $ because the stock went down and I couldn't do anything about it. And one more thing, is that I was supposed to recieve stock dividends from JGMHA. There was a naked short scandal going on with the company, and many brokerages were in on it, including Ameritrade. So to make a long story short....i didnt recieve my dividends, until i called them up and made a big deal about it. They were already a month and a half late, before I called them up. And at first they acted like they didn't know anything about the dividends. Then they magicaly appeared 4 days later. I will be researching different brokerages this weekend to decide who to give my business and money to. IP: Logged |

quote: Well I had BrokerageAmerica, but sadly, they too are getting swallowed up by Ameritrade. BA was great, I never had any problems and I'm sorry to see them go. Now I must choose between Freetrade and Ameritrade when the "takeover" is complete on February 13th. I was thinking about moving my funds to Freetrade since most people on here have positive things to say, but now I'm not so sure. I know ticker changes are few and far between, but Ameritrade seems to just be a hassle. Any other opinions? Delt, maybe you can let me know of your findings. btw, since Ameritrade is buying out BrokerageAmerica (the MM 'BAAM'), does that mean bye bye to BAAM as a MM as well? Or will he still remain? TIA! fozzy IP: Logged |

Johnny, great job with your VeeGeez design! And I want some t-shirts too As far as Ameritrade goes my streamer was updated this morning to GZFX... and was able to trade... somewhat. There is a hold on my funds for 3 days due to nonmargin account. I'm applying for a margin account for the second time. If I don't get it, I will move my trades to another brokerage site. I want the ability to jump in an out when I need too.
