I'm just curious to know what everybody's single best trade was since they have been in this crazy market. Try to post as much info as possible (name of company, symbol, around when you bought/sold it and how much you made total). I look foward to your input! [Cool]

gee, you don't ask much, do you?

OK, ok, lol, one of my favorites was when a former mod here posted a round-up: I checked it out & paid 45 cents to make 90 dollars, or thereabouts.

Another fave was when Will and I nailed a PMED bounce; he was working his "unusual volume" criteria, while I was "flying blind" on 15-min intraday charts. Between us, we nailed it. I have no idea what he pocketed; as I recall, I made about $300, $350...

There's other members here who have made tens of thousands on a lucky swing--but they had $4-5,000
to play with and forget about.

To regress:

When you ask about "best trade," you might not get the answer you think you're asking about...

My best trade wasn't the one I made the most money, but had more to do with the circumstances.

I bought 4000 shares of Cryocor (CRYO) about 2 years ago for around $4/share to day trade, and I was seriously distracted right before the closing bell and returned to my computer to see it tanked to $3.20.

I sat there sick to my stomach because I forgot stops and sulked for about an hour during dreadful after hours trading. I got up again for 20 minutes and returned to see it spiked up in after hours to $5.50. I got a really lucky news break and was able to sell for +$1.50/share.

Never happened again.

Its like this Tex, whatever the poster feels was their best move, whether it made them the most money or not is what I'm looking for. Honestly it was just something I wanted to see if anybody would actually reply to and for the fact that nobody comes on here on the weekend and that I'm at work haha. Thanks for your reply!

unfortunately? my best trades have all been pink/otcbb sub-penny stocks.

i don't recomend them. they are striclty trades not investments

i bought QBID on Dardogs (an old poster here) recomendation at .0007 and sold at 1.9 cents and 2.8 cents...

that was a little better than ONEV which i bought more of and made a lot more money on with just slightly less movement.

there were many, many more like these, but in those days? i was willing to hold a run longer than i am now...

Pinks and OTCBB's are trash in my mind as well. I don't advise buying any of these unless you have the mind-set going in that they're all scams, and take your profits.

I got lucky on XKEM, an otcbb scam at the time, just as all the other ones mentioned.

Turned $2000 to $30000. Best single stock trade for me.

Here is a practice play from this week. MBI. I saw this one on Tuesday. I have been studying pinchers and stumbled on what I thought was a great set up. MAV5X5 did a couple videos for me to show what it looked like. I'll be looking for more set ups just like this. I got in at 4.13, planned target is $5 but I covered at 4.3 when it met resistance and I had to go somewhere. Letting the rest ride. I'm working on testing my pinchers when I can but this one worked out well so I wanted to share it. Here are the videos...

A few months back I was trading ABK--held it for about a week for about 1100.

Nice! Then got cocky, and well, you know the rest....

There used to be 1000% gains in Pinks and BB in one day, only to have it gap the following morning. I actually did 10,000% in USXP. Bought 10 million shares at .0005 and sold all the way up to .05 Ahhh, those were the days.

They'll be back my friend. As more companies fall to the pinks and get the crap kicked out of them. When they make their come backs the fun will be there.
Just make the list and check it twice LOL

Boo, I think there will be allot more regulation with the Obama admin. 1000% gainers will be extremely rare. Especially knowing that all Pinks are scams and all.

That's right Boo, I think I remember you trading along side me with a few of them wwen, etc... No?

My trading strategies have changed over the years. I don't typically buy common stock anymore, as I buy the option on the stock. I'll buy at the money Calls or Puts. If I think a stock is SO UNDERVALUED I'll go out a little and buy a “leap” out of the money. I've been making several hundred percent per month with this strategy. Try it Boo. [Smile]

Well, keeping an eye out on some of the "new pinks" like THMR.PK and RHDC.PK and we could build a pretty good watch list as more join them. And yes I remember being on a couple of the "real pinks" with you, XKEM for sure. Not sure if you played SLJB but that one was pretty good too - especially since Petar has been arrested! lmao. The SEC has already mentioned in a PR that they are working with the trading houses to control those massive gainers and losers - I know Scottrade does it anywhich way they please with the pinks. I forget the exact details of the pr but I think the cons outweigh the pro's on that one - but that's my opinion. people just need to do their research. I need to raise more capital since I've had to keep most of my money going elsewhere so I've been doing a lot more "practicing" than actual trading.
Good luck to you this week.

Man, I sure did play SLJB. I actually played it early when it was LoftWerks as well. LoL. I'm sure there will be opportunity again, I'm just skeptical that there will be MASSIVE movers. [Frown]

$5 target met HOD 5.10. Havta check the charts and see if it has any gusto left on the pinch. imo the best trades are the ones that actually follow your plan. lmao

I can give you instructions on HOW to do this trade. The real caveat is finding the underlying equity to trade the option on. I would find a particular stock you like then see if it trades options. I can’t begin to tell you how much experience I have at this so it’s difficult to explain how a stock is undervalued, trades at cash, rev., or book value. Low float, high insiders holding, or institutions buying. Low share count, history of dilution, market maker manipulation. It took me years, so you must put in the dues. But when you do, you will start to win every time. There are WAY too many reasons to not buy a stock, but all of my criteria have to line up to buy one. It's a fool’s game if you’re not a professional, or educated to the maximum potential. It’s no different than being a doctor at this particular skill level. PM me if you want some advise.

My best trade ever was a shell stock sym. LFZA.
I bought 1,000,000 shares of this thing *.001
a few years ago for about a grand after it
started showing signs of life on level II's.
A trader freind of mine also picked up on this.
What we found odd was how listed key MM's were lining up for this one like ducks in a row.
I mean they didn't even try to hide themselves.
All the key players were jumping on fast and
some of my volume filters were going crazy.
I owned scores of cheap shells at the time.

This thing did a R/M WITHOUT the customary R/S first and she took off like a rocket into the stratosphere and never looked back.
I remember it closed at around .005 on a Friday
evening and gapped up to almost a nickel on
the following Monday at opening bell with
heavy after hours trading over the weekend.
Every day that week it went up almost.20 a share.
By Friday it peaked at .83 cents or so!
I sold off all my shares at varying intervals
thoughout the week.

I sold at in 250,000 share increments at .16 ,
.28, .44, and finally .56 respectively.
You do the math.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think it
would go to .83 cents by Friday of that
same week.
Grrrrrrrrrr!!
It's ok though.
I still made a killing.
By the following Monday LFZA had a new name
and number and by then, of course, the game
was pretty much over.

With the exception of a coupla dozen idle shell
plays I'm pretty much out of the market for
almost a year and a half now.
To volatile plus the MM's aren't playing fair
these days and not giving much back if anything.
Understandable given the current state of
the economy.
I've done much better in commodities and FOREX
(they're not as easily manipulated).
I mainly tune into these penny boards to find
out which picks to AVOID.
And for the most part I'm not disappointed.
To many paid pumpers endlessly hyping the
same old crap around here.
After awhile you can just sniff em out.
They can hide their name but they can't
hide their style.

In any event, LFZA was my best play ever.
If I'd held my cards a little longer I
coulda made almost twice the money I did.
I doubt you'll see that sort of play
repeat itself anytime soon.
Especially in this market.
Bon appetite'.
