Let's say a stock has low $ volume, for example 10,000$. Is it possible, in putting a small amount, like 500$, to make profit, or will it be hard to sell it back?

Thanks.

anything is possible... it's possible Catherine Zeta Jones will sleep with me as well lol jk ... anyways in a low volume stock if the trade doesn't go your way you can be stuck with those shares if no one buys them off of you... always trade stocks with high or decent volume for liquidity...

That's what I was thinking, I just heard of traders buying into these low volume stocks a small amount of shares, but I'm not sure it's worth it.

maybe the idea was to find a nice pre-merger shell...?

Yes I believe so, but it sounds very risky.
