JF, one thing that is really important to learning how to read charts is to back test.. Use a few different stocks, prefferably Nasdaq or NYSE stocks and bring up various charts for those stocks.. After you learn what the different indicators are use them all... one at a time on the different stocks.. After a while you will begin to see patterns as to how each indicator gives a signal.. Generally you'll know how long a while is after your eyes begin to cross...
