Who might know of the better websites to go to for learning to read charts? Are there any good books to look for?

JF, one thing that is really important to learning how to read charts is to back test..
Use a few different stocks, prefferably Nasdaq or NYSE stocks and bring up various charts for those stocks..
After you learn what the different indicators are use them all... one at a time on the different stocks..
After a while you will begin to see patterns as to how each indicator gives a signal..
Generally you'll know how long a while is after your eyes begin to cross...

Two books i recommend for charts are:

A Beginner's Guide to Short-Term Trading by Toni Turner www.toniturner.com

The Candlestick Course by Steve Nison www.candlecharts.com
