Hey i installed a new video card to allow me to use dual monitors the card i put in is a e-GeForce FX 5700LE.....now everything seems to work except i can drag my mouse to both screens i and i can drag the desktop icons to the other screen but when i open AOL and open allstocks and say Etrade i want to put Etrade on the other screen and it will not let me the mouse will still go to the other screen but it will not let me drag any other windows over to the other screen.....any help would be much appreciated........thanks in advance

Mine did the same thing with AOL. All I use now is Microsoft Internet Explorer. as that has worked fine for me. Try to minimize the AOL page (not completly, just make it smaller), and then try to move it over---thats how my AOL works to get it on the other screen. I like M.I.E as the pages that open up in it are larger than on AOL's. Hope this helps.

Try changing the screen resolutions. Its quite possible that each window you open is set for a specific res, and youre adaptor isnt allowing it go beyond its default.

Practice with a few resolutions, and see what happens.

make sure the window you are dragging to the other monitor is not maximized. Click the second button from the right to restore to standard window size, and then drag the window over to the other monitor....I hope this helps...

ok when i minimize AOL it let's me drag to the other monitor........but what i wanna do is have Etrade open on one monitor and Allstocks on the other and when i minimize allstocks it will not let me drag it over to new screen...........??

I'm assuming your using IE. Make sure all instances of IE are not maximized, and drag the one you'd like to the other monitor...I hope this helps...

aight i got it workin' now i was not using IE at first i was tryin' to do it through AOL and i could not get it to work........if anyone knows how i can do this just using AOL that would be great but this works for now ........

Ktrain....the embedded browser windows inside of AOL cannot be moved outside of the main AOL window (MDI). (But it looks like you found that out [Wink]

Looking for bank tomorrow too! LOL! GLTA!

i have missed so many news plays due to seein' the news and then havin' to minimize the screen go to my broker screen and put a buy in by the time i look at the price it's gone by me ....now awwwwwwww chit it's a different ball game ......im thinkin' bout picking me up bout 2 more monitors .........GL .....Marty let's make some bank.........and ya'll know.......

My wife has pics of me working two computers, with two keyboards, mice, monitors, before the multi monitor capabilities were introduced..it was faster, and more efficient to use multiple PC's to multitask....LOL....seems like so long ago [Wink] But I admit, I still "multitask multiple PC's" LOL....

cool....I go to Orlando alot...(like to play golf and wife likes the parks). Was in Orlando, June and Sept....due Tampa in June for golf tournament, then hit Orlando for more! Anyway, don't know them, but sister's married name is Lanza....on the Blvd....
