This is for those of you like me who are VERY new to this and buying up GZFX. While trying in my zeal to buy today I didnt check my order B4 executing and found that I sold ALL my stock, 79,740 beautiful shares at 15.4. I then had to scramble to buy back 78,500 shares at 15.5 only to watch it dip to the 14's. So the moral here, dont be an ASS like me and look B4 you leap. God am I stupid!!! There I said it so you guys who know won't have to.

don't feel bad,i did the same thing other day w/jrvr,cost me cause it took all day to fill it back up as stock was moving up,it sucked big time

Equally Important:
Check and DOUBLE check those decimal points. you sure don't want to sell for .002 when you meant .02 - and vice versa on buys

I'll go you one better. Last week I got caught in the WREX - CPCL change. E-Turd showed the new symbol in my account as CPCL and all the shares that I owned under WREX at the new price of $5.50, I sold half my shares at a tremendous profit, E-Turd again showed the shares sold and the profit in my account. Until the next day when they shorted my account all the cash, turns out they had missed the 20-1 reverse split and now I had to buy back the shares at the new price to balance my account. I'm not sure what to tell you to watch out for except if it is a buy out or name change for some reason be careful, especially if you deal with E-Turd, keep up your dd on your stock so it doesn't surprise you.

SonnyD: Same thing happened to me on a .com IPO during the .com bubble of 1999- company went public on a Wednsday, then pulled a reverse split 2 days later w/o prior notice. I though it soared b/c it was a .com IPO. Cost me thousands.

zeker no one to blame but myself, I was carrying to many stocks, especially on the back burner, hoping someday they would do something, well they did, they cost me a couple thousand dollars because of my stupidity. Yeah well, money I didn't really have....right

I think everyone has done something like that so don't feel bad, a while back I tried to sell 250000 shares of USCI checked my account later and found I had bought another 250000 shares, this worked out well for me as I sold them later at a 75% profit but could have gone the other way I was just lucky.

it will never happen.
if the bid is .02 and you put an order in to sell @ .002, your order will fill at the best bid price.

What about if you put in a buy for .02 insteast of .002? Could someone get lucky off this or is all the sales that go through 10x higher just reporting errors because someone forgets about a zero?

I saw an interesting order go through on a company named ABR Info Services. The company had just anounced that they were being bought out at a 15-20% premium over where the stock was then-currently trading (in the mid $11's). The news set off a buying frenzy, and in the process, a large buy order went through at $98 a share.

To all, thanks very much for your replies to my original post. It helped me a great deal to know that these things can and do happen to other people and that I'm not the only one who falls victim to himself at times. As it turns out, in re examining MY mistake of selling off all my stock and then rebuying in a panic at 0.01 higher all I really did was short myself some profit. I had bought all the before mentioned shares starting at 0.057 - 0.145 so instead of having say a 4,000 dollar profit, buy the time I bought back at that 0.01 higher, I lost about 700 shares plus the cost of the trade so if I figured this right, 700 x 0.01 what am I out about 700.00 bucks? I think that's right. If anyone could help me figure it out further I would sure appreciate it as my math skills are poor. Not exactly a positive in this game is it? Anyway thanks again folks, you helped chase away that wanting to walk into a propeller blade felling I was having!!

In order to cost-average your previous holdings, we would need to know how much you bought at each price, and how much the commissions were.
