I am currently using an E-trade account which my dad set up for me a few years ago. I have recently started using it myself a few weeks ago. My question is, i sold some stocks this morning, and it shows that my account balance is correct, but my buying power has not increased, i was wondering how long it took for that to get in the system? I have already emailed them but i thouhgt this might be faster. Thanks1

Are there any other sites that do it faster or is that standard? I plan on switching to Scottrade or Freetrade soon anyway.

As far as I know all stock trades have 3 days to settle.
