SARS, Inc. offers a means of bringing all these monitoring systems (cell phones, email, satellite tracking, GPS technology, etc) and methods together, streamlining them, and delivering the information via a simple, web-based interface.
SARS is a platform-agnostic software solution, meaning it can be configured to work with any communications service or data communicator hardware.
Why? Not only is replacing hardware and communications infrastructure a costly hassle, but a commitment to one particular platform is a common obstacle to taking advantages of the lightning-quick technology advances now marking the intelligent transportation sector. overview1
A small, shoebox-sized piece of hardware connects your assets with the communications provider of your choice. SARS can interface with your existing hardware (see a list of hardware partners) or will connect you with a hardware partner that can communicate seamlessly with the SARS infrastructure. The hardware can stand alone and submit basic GPS-based location data, or can interface with an on-board computer to transmit more complicated information.
SARS can also interface with the communications infrastructure you're utilizing today (see a list of communications partners), or will set up a satellite-based system with maximum uptime. service 02
The data is transmitted to SARS where its reformulated into multiple formats.
Assets that house the communicator can submit many types of basic information, including GPS-based location info, engine performance statistics, trigger-based security data, or a wide variety of other information.
In tandem with an on-board computer, SARS empowers two-way email communication between your back office and your assets, allowing for the transmission of ETA data, cargo manifests, bills of lading, accident reports, etc. Software add-ons are also available.
Data is delivered to the personnel that needs it, in the format they're used to seeing. Basic location info can be delivered over a customizable map interface in a web browser. ETA data will be sent to your dispatchers. Cargo manifests will be sent to your traffic managers. Accident reports will be sent to your safety engineer. Engine performance data will go to your operations chief. Hardware partners Communications partners
