United States Patent & Trademark Office Increasing Their License Agreement With DeskFlex, Inc.
Thursday March 26, 2009, 7:00 am EDT

CHICAGO, IL--(MARKET WIRE)--Mar 26, 2009 -- Epazz, Inc. (OTC BB:EPAZ.OB - News), a leading provider of office productivity workforce solutions, today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, DeskFlex, has received an order from United States Patent Office to increase their license agreement. United States Patent and Trademark Office has been a customer of DeskFlex for the past 7 years.

DeskFlex is a Scheduling Software for conference rooms, workspaces, desks, car parking spaces, equipment, hoteling and HotDesking so office managers can accommodate the occasional needs of mobile workers while reducing the rent & facility costs. DeskFlex lets employees reserve space in advance or claim a desk right now. It adjusts the telephone switch (PBX) so that calls ring at the 'desk du jour.' DeskFlex includes check-in, point-&-click floor maps, web browser, local kiosk, Outlook integration, and conference room scheduling.

"In 2007 USPTO received two awards for their hoteling and telework programs; we are very happy to be one of their vendors," said Shaun Passley, Chairman & CEO.

Please join us to congratulate the USPTO (US Patent and Trademark Office) on two recent awards for their hoteling and telework programs.

Excellence in Telework Leadership - United States Patent and Trademark Office, Department of Commerce, Patents Hoteling Program

The Patents Hoteling Program (PHP) is the primary telework program for USPTO's Patent Examiners. Started in January 2006, the PHP now includes 910 participating examiners who work from home four days per week and share reserved office space one day a week on the agency's Alexandria, Virginia campus. Major PHP components include remote online access to required USPTO patent business systems, job performance tools, patent information, and patent application documentation. Examiners working from home also have access to collaborative communication technologies which enable collaboration among colleagues and supervisors. USPTO plans to have 3,000 Patent Examiners working from home, at least four days per week, by 2011.

Telework Driver Award - Deborah Cohn, Deputy Commissioner for Trademark Operations, United States Patent and Trademark Office, Department of Commerce

Deborah Cohn pioneered the development of the USPTO's first telework program in 1997, at a time when telework was not considered the norm in public or private sector organizations. With her foresight, creativity, and perseverance, Ms. Cohn convinced agency executives to test the concept, and forged coalitions with stakeholders, including managers, IT personnel, and the employee union. The result was creation of the innovative telework program at the USPTO called the Trademark Work At Home (TWAH) program. This program, now considered to be the gold standard for telework in the Federal government, has become an accepted telework prototype, which combines management by objective with hoteling, and results in documented space and related cost savings for the agency. Thanks to Ms. Cohn's efforts, 85% of eligible Trademark employees now work at home at least one day per week and more than 200 Trademark Examining Attorneys work at home a majority of the week and reserve space in "hoteling" offices when they come into the office. This award recognizes Ms. Cohn's contribution to the telework community for her vision, tenacity, and creativity that have transformed her initial idea into an accepted standard for business-based alternative work arrangements that support the current and future requirements of the public sector workforce.

The 2007 Telework Exchange Tele-Vision Awards Program

Letter to Shareholders

Our performance in 2008 demonstrated that acquiring business to business software companies is the best way to grow the company to the next level. The acquisition of DeskFlex and Professional Resource Management has shown to be an important move to bring the company closer to profitability. We are working on acquiring other business to business software companies whose client base are Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, healthcare providers and higher education institutions. We have already identified several companies which have this type of clientele and we are currently in negotiations with them. The long term goal of Epazz is to have a large library of B2B software applications. Businesses to business software applications provide recurring revenue unlike business to consumer software which is an one-time purchase. Many of our software applications provide customization opportunities. As our customers grow, so does the need for them to increase their license. Recently, United States Patent and Trade office increase their license of DeskFlex.

We are making a commitment to stay in contact with our shareholders on a weekly basis. We also are trying to get the word out about Epazz and our plans to grow the company. We need your assistance in sharing information with others. We found some good websites to spread the word. We have also uploaded logos, screenshots and current information that you can use. If you need any additional information about the company, please feel free to call us at (312) 955-8161 or email us at investors*epazz.net
