DALLAS, TX, Apr 08, 2008 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- SUN Sports & Entertainment Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SSPE) announced today that the Dallas-based Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) production and promotion company has signed an Agreement with Fox Sports Net (FSN) to telecast SUN's new innovative, MMA TV series: "GI Vs. Pro."
SUN's "Art of War" division will produce a series of nine MMA events that will air as one-hour specials Saturday nights at midnight on FSN, beginning July 19th, 2008 and concluding on September 13th, 2008.
"GI Vs. Pro" will pit current and former MMA-trained armed services members against professional mixed martial arts fighters from around the country. All fights will be scheduled for three, 5-minute rounds. "GI Vs. Pro" action will be fought inside a circular cage -- a first on FSN.
FSN announcer Jay Glazer and analyst Frank Trigg, who worked as the commentary team for the Pride Fighting Championships on the network, will also team up on the "GI Vs. Pro" telecasts.
SUN CEO CJ Comu stated, "We at SUN are extremely pleased to be working with such a respected network as FSN, which will telecast this unique and exciting series into millions of homes across the country.
"Our agreement with FSN is an important milestone for SUN as we continue to implement our growth strategy and develop relationships with international and domestic partners. By showcasing our world-class fighters through well produced, quality events on FSN, SUN's position as an emerging global MMA organization is only further enhanced."
"MMA is on fire," said FSN VP of Production Gary Garcia. "This show, featuring intense battles between elite, fine-tuned athletes, is the perfect brand extension for the U.S. military to hit their target demo right between the eyes."
In addition to the FSN and SUN announcement, Florida-based Show Partners Inc. has been selected by SUN to provide television production, operations and design services in support of the "GI Vs. Pro" series of MMA events.
"Show Partners is pleased to have been selected by SUN for the production of the "GI Vs. Pro" and look forward to working with SUN and FSN," said Show Partners EVP Larry Rogers. "This format, pitting combat-ready members of the U.S. Military against proven MMA fighters promises to deliver an emotional series of events featuring unprecedented toughness and excitement."
With a 23-year history as veterans of live event and television productions, Show Partners' staff have earned 15 National Emmy(R) Awards, providing global support for networks and production companies worldwide.
Additionally, FOX Interactive and SUN will collaborate on generating interactive content for both companies' platforms, including FOXSports.com. The online offerings could include streaming of events, clips syndicated across the FOX Network and other enhanced content to build an online community around each FSN broadcast and SUN events.
Mixed Martial Arts is a sport evolved from a number of ancient combat disciplines including judo, jiu-jitsu, karate, wrestling and kickboxing. World-class athletes engage in hand-to-hand combat in a ring -- both caged and traditional -- and must adapt their fighting style to fit their opponent. The wide variety of styles and techniques make every event an unpredictable spectacle.

Looks like they are going to have a PR
campaign. The pps is at bottom, so they may let
her run for next dilution - just another
pre-dilution run.

I think this is a good one, in terms
of chart pattern and the beginning of
a PR campaign. Every time when the pps
was taken down like this one, there
was a run. Dilution is always a problem,
but they will have a break and run it
once in awhile, in order to get investors'
interest, I call it "pre-dilution run."
This type of run will work well if the
company has prepared a PR campaign.
Today's PR and the chart pattern gave
a hint of a run. Hope it will work.

SUN Completes First Event of New GI vs. PRO Series
DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - April 21, 2008) - SUN Sports & Entertainment Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SSPE) announced today the completion of their first event of the new MMA Series "GI vs. PRO" at the Harrah's Grand Hotel & Casino in Tunica, MS with the GIs beating the PROs 4-2.
On Saturday April 19th SUN, in association with FOX Sports Net, Show Partners and Harrah's completed the filming of production for the first television show which will be edited to create the start of nine weeks of programming for the flagship National Sports Channel.
The fast and furious events only had one bout go the distance while the loud boisterous fans were treated to an array of unpredictable finishes. In the main event, GI Army Ranger Damien Stelly dominated MMA PRO Ron Faircloth by starting off with an unprecedented flurry of blows, forcing the stunned MMA veteran to tap-out in 44 seconds. PRO Mike Wessel, the main event victor at Art of War 4 in October 2007, won his co-main event contest by split decision against GI Patrick Castillo. The fight of the night may have ended at 4:40 in the first round, but PRO Chris Hawk and GI Darrill Schoonover traded fight-ending positions until Schoonover caught Hawk with a rear naked choke. "It's one of the best fights I've ever seen given the fact that both men were so close to being finished at different points in the game before Darrill pulled out the victory," said Clyde Gentry III, Chief Operating Officer for SUN. "It's the kind of fight that audiences watching from home will remember."
The inaugural event sets off a series of promotions throughout the US by SUN to meet the commitment to FOX Sports Net. "I was proud to have Art of War again in Mississippi and I loved the sense of patriotism," said Mississippi State Athletic Commissioner Patrick Turner. "With what our men and women are doing overseas, the show sends a great message and I'm ready to have Art of War back."
The Art of War "GI vs. Pro" will debut on July 19th on FOX Sports Net. The series matches current and former members of the Armed Forces against Mixed Martial Arts Professionals. Nick Agallar, an Iraq war veteran and UFC veteran, heads up the GI Team as Captain with a record of 20-5. Chris Brennan, a UFC veteran which heads the Pro Team as Captain with a record of 19-12, hopes to lead the PRO team to victory in the next event.
The enthusiastic crowd at Harrah's Arena roared throughout the fights and promotions from the US Army, Air Force, Marines and Navy. There was plenty of action inside the ring and during the intermission breaks fans were able to take on military challenges such as chin ups, meet fighters for pictures and acquire memorabilia. This is the second time SUN has returned to the deep-south and prides itself with the opportunity to produce another one of its events for Harrah's.
