I have been too busy lately to be on here but I have always followed GTE. I used to be a regular. I started a web site years ago on GTEL when it was GTEL in the penny range. I made out pretty good on the first runs. I always loved the ideas and products but the management killed it.

News for 'GTE' - (GlobeTel Signs Letter of Intent To Acquire 50% Stake in Recognized Aerospace Innovator TAO Technologies GmbH, Restructures Sanswire)
FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. and STUTTGART, Germany, Sept 26, 2007 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- GlobeTel Communications Corp. (Pink Sheets: GTEM), parent company of Sanswire Networks LLC (Sanswire), and TAO Technologies GmbH, Stuttgart, Germany today announced that the two companies have signed a letter of intent whereby GlobeTel will purchase 50% of TAO, and TAO will be renamed Sanswire-TAO GmbH. The company will be focused on the design, development and production of unmanned aerial vehicles. It is expected that Sanswire-TAO will be based chiefly in Stuttgart, and maintain a presence in both Berlin and California. The acquisition of 50% of TAO follows the October 2005 development agreement between Sanswire and TAO that resulted in the construction and testing of the Sanswire 2A.
The letter of intent calls for TAO and GlobeTel/Sanswire to share sales and marketing rights of various aerial vehicles developed and currently owned by TAO. Additionally, upon closing of definitive agreements, TAO will grant to Sanswire-TAO the respective patents and intellectual property rights covering the products, including the AirChain segmented airship. Sanswire assets, including the 2A Technology Demonstrator Stratellite(TM), are being shipped to TAO's German facility to incorporate design changes based upon flight test data from the ship's test flights, and, specifically, advances made by TAO since the Sanswire 2A was originally designed.
Under terms of the agreement it is anticipated that the principal shareholders of TAO Technologies will sell a 50% interest to GlobeTel for a combination of cash and stock payable over three years. Professor Dr. Bernd Kroplin, founder and President of TAO, will preside over the newly formed subsidiary which will focus on further development of the Sanswire 2A, SkySat(TM), and the AirChain. The companies expect to complete several free flight tests of their aerial vehicles this year as a portion of Sanswire's development and testing is shifted to Germany.
"I'm extremely pleased to work together with Dr. Kroplin and through our joint efforts we expect to rapidly unveil a comprehensive Sanswire-TAO product line which we will immediately demonstrate and market to our technology partners," stated Jonathan D. Leinwand, Chief Executive Officer.
"We are happy to renew our relationship with GlobeTel and Sanswire," said Dr. Bernd Kroplin. "Together we can create airships to take advantage of the expanding market for UAVs."
Mr. Leinwand continued, "Together with TAO we believe in the global sales potential that our products have in a wide array of industries. This is a big step in our newly adopted business plan and the entire GlobeTel team stands proudly with TAO and Dr. Kroplin as we combine to produce some of the best unmanned aerial vehicles in the world."

Sanswire Delivers the 2A Airship To German Operation for Completion Monday October 15, 9:31 am ET
STUTTGART, Germany and FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Sanswire Networks, a subsidiary of GlobeTel Communications Corp. (Pink Sheets: GTEM - News) today announced that the Sanswire 2A airship has been delivered to the TAO facility in Stuttgart, Germany to be refit and upgraded, pursuant to the action plan outlined in Sanswire's and TAO's previously announced agreement in principle to form the equally-owned Sanswire-TAO GmbH. The 2A, previously housed in Palmdale, California, is a 126-foot Lighter Than Air vehicle. ADVERTISEMENT
The next steps for the Sanswire 2A will be reassembly and a refitting of the airship's automated flight controls, telemetry systems, and ultra light- weight components that include new rear fins. Readying the 2A for flight- testing, initially in the mid-altitude range of 15,000 to 30,000 feet, will also require that propulsion and the automated stability systems be re- evaluated and possibly upgraded.
"Both TAO and GlobeTel/Sanswire are eager to complete work on the 2A, and give our technology partners a more comprehensive insight into the properties and capabilities of the 2A," stated Jonathan D. Leinwand, Chief Executive Officer. "We believe very strongly in our business plan to build and market airships for flight at all altitudes, and we look forward to completing the formation of Sanswire-TAO as soon as possible."
The decision to continue the development and testing of the 2A in Stuttgart was attributed to the vast resources and knowledge of the TAO organization. The addition of the 2A to TAO's and Sanswire's current scheduled flight plans rounds out GlobeTel's atmospheric arsenal of low to medium to high altitude platforms.

FWIW, I still think the concept of a stratellite is good. Not sure on the new management or company, if there still is one. I haven't done any DD in a long time.
