New Technology Helping Soldiers

(Fort Myers, FL) -- Innova Holdings Inc. is a software technology company in Fort Myers developing robotic technology to add unmanned ground vehicles to Iraq. The vehicles come in all shapes and sizes. Walter Weisel, the chairman and chief executive officer of Innova Holdings, is planning on building upon what the military and emergency units are using out in the field. The company is going to add PC software and arm technology to the device. Innova Holdings says the pentagon estimates by the end of 2006 there will be some 4,000 unmanned ground vehicles in Iraq.

This is a very good company. I made some nice coin a little over a month ago going from .019 to .047. Riding some free shares. Keep up the posting on this thread but check out this other one some good info:

using realistic 3-D models; Microsoft has licensed the PhysX(TM)
engine from AGEIA(TM), a pioneer in hardware-accelerated physics,
enabling real-world physics simulations with robot models. The
PhysX simulations can also be accelerated using AGEIA hardware.

-- Lightweight services-oriented runtime. Microsoft Robotics Studio
provides a lightweight services-oriented runtime. Using a
.NET-based concurrency library, it makes asynchronous application
development simple. The services-oriented, message-based
architecture makes it simple to access the state of a robot's
sensors and actuators with a Web browser, and its composable model
enables the building of high-level functions using simple
components and providing for reusability of code modules as well as
better reliability and replaceability.

-- Scalable, extensible platform. The Microsoft Robotics Studio
programming model can be applied for a variety of robot hardware
platforms, enabling users to transfer their learning skills across
platforms. Third parties can also extend the functionality of the
platform by providing additional libraries and services. Both
remote (PC-based) and autonomous (robot-based) execution scenarios
can be developed using a selection of programming languages,
including those in Microsoft Visual Studio® and Microsoft Visual
Studio Express languages (Visual C#® and Visual Basic® .NET),
JScript® and Microsoft IronPython 1.0 Beta 1, and third-party
languages that conform to its services-based architecture.

Broad Industry Support Shown for Early Technical Preview
At RoboBusiness, Microsoft and several industry partners offered working models and demonstrations of Robotics Studio technology in action:


-- CoroWare Inc., an Innova Holdings company, showed its Surveyor 3000,
a mobile service robot that can be remotely operated or programmed to
run semiautonomously.
-- KUKA Robot Group showed a lightweight robot prototype controlled via
a remote joystick service, using Microsoft Robotics Studio-based
services.
-- Robosoft showed its six-wheeled robuROC6 robot, capable of autonomous
navigation across difficult terrain, which highlighted how a
distributed architecture, built from its robuBOX(TM) robotics core,
could be easily controlled via the Microsoft Robotics Studio runtime.
-- RoboticsConnection featured a tracked Windows XP-based robot
utilizing one of its Serializer(TM) .NET Robot Controller boards, via
Microsoft Robotics Studio and Serializer services.
-- White Box Robotics Inc. showed a telepresence scenario featuring its
914 PC-BOT. The 914 was controlled via a Robotics Studio-driven
Web-based interface, accessible remotely over a network.

Microsoft Sponsors Carnegie Mellon Center for Innovative Robotics

Microsoft's support for advanced robotics was also in evidence at RoboBusiness when Carnegie Mellon University announced plans for a Center for Robotics Innovation. Established with funding and support from the Microsoft Robotics Group, the center will operate a Web site, http://www.cir.ri.cmu.edu, for hobbyists, academics and commercial companies to share robotics ideas, technology and software. The new center will open by late 2006.

FORT MYERS, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 07/12/06 -- Innova Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB: IVHG), a robotic technology firm providing software and hardware systems to the service, personal, and industrial robotic markets, announced today that it has received a multiple unit order for the recently launched URC3 (Universal Robot Controller(TM)) from a custom fabricator of parts for the trucking industry.

In each workcell, the URC3 will interface with a six-axis Cincinnati Milacron 646 robot being used for MIG welding. The workcell includes a Miller Deltaweld� system equipped with Miller Auto Invision(TM) welding control and a two-axis positioning table for a total of eight (8) axes under URC3 control. The URC3 will be running RWT's ArcScript application software.

"This is the sort of application in which the URC3's open PC architecture really sets us apart from other controllers," comments Robert Ballard, Vice President of Operations. "It allows the manufacturer to keep their workcell intact by replacing the existing robot controller with the URC3, saving time and rework cost. Not only can the URC3 be retrofitted to the older robots, but it easily can be integrated with the weld system and positioning table freeing up floor space and providing the added benefit of an easy to use supervisory control, in addition to robot control, for each workcell."

The recently launched high-performance URC3 robot controller is smart, easy, and open. Many of the enhancements are the direct result of capabilities developed to meet the continuous feedback from the marketplace. Specifically, the URC3 features improved processing speed and improved path following and speed control, particularly for older robots like Cincinnati Milacron 646 robots. RWT's RobotScript� language is used for off-line programming, language-based programming, and program line commenting. It features built-in libraries and subroutines to reduce the time required for programming. RobotScript provides the capability for advanced motion and process, multiple servo axis control, network support, and communication with other PC devices.
