Aegis Assessments Contracts With CirTran Corporation for Manufacture of RadioBridges(TM)

By PR Newswire
Last Update: 3/14/2006 8:31:18 AM Data provided by

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., March 14, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Aegis Assessments, Inc. (AGSI), a wireless technology company that provides products that improve emergency communications for homeland security, public safety and commercial applications, today announced that it has ordered a $250,000 initial production run of the next generation SafetyNet(TM) RadioBridge(TM) from CirTran Corporation (CIRT), an international full-service contract manufacturer of IT, consumer and consumer electronics products located in the greater Salt Lake City area.

CirTran was previously awarded a contract by Aegis to redesign the SafetyNet RadioBridge, which interconnects incompatible radios, bridging them to provide radio interoperability at emergency sites in minutes. The enhancements in the next generation RadioBridge focus on the vital issue of homeland security, and include improvements in the sound quality of audio transmissions, the addition of an internal storage compartment for cables, headsets and other accessories, and improved bridging of trunked and non-trunked radios.

"CirTran came through for us as we knew it would," said Richard Reincke, president of Aegis. "There is a critical need for radio interoperability for first responders. It is vital day-to-day for the 50,000 public safety agencies in the U.S., including 18,000 state and local law enforcement agencies, 26,000 fire departments, 6,000 emergency medical responders and several thousand utility and infrastructure public agencies."

'A Better-than-Ever Product'

"The redesigned SafetyNet RadioBridge is a better-than-ever product," said Trevor Saliba, CirTran's executive vice president for worldwide business development.

"As the need for interoperable communications product market grows, radio systems represent an important and leading component," said Saliba. "CirTran stands ready, with our ability to manufacture domestically in Salt Lake City and through our CirTran-Asia subsidiary in China to meet growing demand."

The SafetyNet RadioBridge project was performed at CirTran's ISO 9001:2000-certified manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City. Other top technology and aerospace companies on CirTran's Salt Lake customer list include Lockheed Martin Corporation, Nortel(TM), Linux Networx(TM) and Flextronics.
