One of the cheapest stocks in US is Ford ( ticker F) according to it P/E (price over Earning)
If you are into long-term investment, Ford may get you your money back in few years.
However, the auto market for our domestic producers is cloudy somehow with the invasion of effecient Japanese and foreign auto makers.
