EGPI/Firecreek Partner The Sahara Group Completes Oil and Gas Agreement with Ukraine Government

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 22, 2005--Chairman Rusbek Bisultanov, of The Sahara Group, announced today that a protocol has been signed with the Ukraine government to assist in the development of an energy independence program. Sahara will be part of a committee that will study and recommend changes and improvements in Ukraine's oil and gas industry as well as work in-country rehabilitating and developing fields through its partner EGPI/Firecreek Inc. (OTCBB: EFCR).

Bisultanov signed the protocol June 24, 2005, and returned to the Ukraine last week to finalize details of the agreement. Also signing was Plachkov Ivan Vasilievitch for the Ukraine Ministry of Fuel and Energy, and Matolitch Roman Mikhailovitch of Neftegaz Ukrainy.

"Our partner in The Sahara Group, Firecreek Petroleum, will operate and rehabilitate at least two oil and gas fields in the Ukraine. And, when requested, provide support and expertise in planning, development and exploration to the government," Bisultanov explained. "We anticipate moving very rapidly on several projects and joining the Ukraine Energy Independence Committee."

The president of Firecreek Petroleum, John R. "Rick" Taylor, said, "The Ukraine effort to become energy independent is something we in America can understand. Firecreek looks forward to working with the Energy Independence Committee and the government. Chairman Bisultanov's leadership in Ukraine as well as Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkey is extraordinary. All of us with EGPI/Firecreek salute him for his efforts and success."

A meeting between Firecreek Petroleum's technical team and Ukraine officials will be scheduled shortly to begin identifying specific fields, the work programs and timetables. The first meeting of the Energy Independence Committee will be announced in the future.
