AMHI's Katy Clinic Debuts Breakthrough Medical Technology for Treating Back Pain

***

FLOWER MOUND, Texas, Oct. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American HealthChoice, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: AMHI) (the "Company") announced today that its Katy Spinal Rehab clinic has recently been successful treating patients with the revolutionary DRX9000 Spinal Decompression System ("DRX9000"). The DRX9000 was developed in part by NASA, and, in most cases it corrects, not just relieves, problems with herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, posterior facet syndrome and sciatica. "The machine gets to the source of the problem. It can target a specific disc, lowering the intradiscal pressure. It creates a negative pressure or a vacuum inside the discs, thus the bulging material is retracted back into the disc. It also allows for increased blood flow, bringing in fluids and nutrients, which calms the nerves and promotes rehydration and repair," Dr. Bill Sheppard said. Dr. Sheppard, the center's clinic director is well known among professional athletes and sports organizations nationwide. He was recently recognized as one of America's top chiropractors. Katy Spinal Rehab is one of AMHI's Company-owned and operated clinics located in Katy, Texas. Preliminary numbers show that the DRX9000 facilitated an incremental $50,000 in patient billings for the clinic during its first 30 days in operation. The DRX creates an environment for healing patients of back pain, the costliest problem in health care today. "Clinical studies have indicated an incredible 86% success rate with this therapy, and we are finding that the majority of patients using our DRX9000 System are experiencing significant pain relief after the first few visits. I am amazed at the results achieved by this therapy, and we have plans to bring this technology to more corporate owned or affiliated clinics in the near future," noted Dr. J.W. Stucki, CEO of American HealthChoice, Inc. For more information on the DRX9000, please visit http://www.katyspinerehab.com .
