Java Group Acquires Stake in World Boxing League

MARIETTA, GA--(MARKET WIRE)--Jul 2, 2004 -- JAVA GROUP INC. (Other OTC:JVGI.PK - News) acquires a stake in the World Boxing League which is the preeminent professional team boxing sports league in the world. The focus of the WBL will be highly competitive matches between boxers, cities and countries, which will re-energize the sport.

The WBL will launch with 10 teams in North America in its inaugural season, with 10 teams each in Europe, Asia and Africa to follow.
The WBL will answer the following fundamental questions:
1) Who is the best team in my country?
2) Who is the best team in the world?
3) Who are the best boxer and world champion in each of the six weight divisions?
Additionally, the company proudly announces today that Mr. Philip A. Penston, III, the World Boxing League's founder and commissioner, joins JAVA GROUP INC. as its new appointed President. Mr. Penston brings to Java a long and fruitful experience in the sports world as well as in other venues. Under his leadership, Mr. Penston will guide JAVA GROUP INC. into the exciting world of professional sports promotion and management.
Mr. Penston received a Bachelor of Arts-Pre Law degree form St. Francis College in Loretto, Pennsylvania. As a founder and current commissioner of the World Boxing League (www.worldboxingleague.com), he promoted and/or co-promoted eleven World Title fights with the most recognized names in boxing. Julio Caesar Chavez, Pernell "Sweet-Pea" Whitaker, Bernard Hopkins, Miguel Angel Gonzalez and other professional fighters have been impressive ticket promotions of Mr. Penston. These promotional successes have drawn in thousands of spectators to see Mr. Penston's fighters, "work the ring."
