A Letter from our CEO
The last two years have been a steady evolvement for CCGI. I have seen our Company become a recognized leader in the licensed collectible field, expanding from a narrowly focused sports marketing company to a broad based licensed entertainment, sports and music product company. We have extended our product lines from just high-end collectibles to include Wall Scrolls and Collectible Pins, which are mass merchandise type collectibles. I am pleased, but not satisfied, with our marketing and distribution efforts to date, even though our entertainment related products are featured in stores like Spencer Gifts, MusicLand, Tower Records and Suncoast Video. Similarly, our products are featured on the Internet on many web sites, such as Toyrus.com, Newline.com, Fandom.com, Starlog.com, to name a few. Our Team Sports products appear in major retailers like Modells and xxxx's, and in many stadium venues through Aramark and other concessionaires.
Milestones for the Company over the past two years include the acquisition of Team Sports (formerly Rooter Rattle) and MusicArt: licenses for Austin Powers, Terminator, Chicken Soup For The Soul, StanLee and 7th Portal, X-Men, and Marvel Universe (many comic characters including Spiderman, Thor & Captain America); a partnership with Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell (The Master Touch); and our first investment banking relationship. I believe this is a very exciting time for CCGR, but certainly not without its trials and tribulations.
The price of our stock has dropped dramatically, and still being on the "pink sheets" instead of the more accepted OTC Bulletin Board certainly has not helped that situation or our ability to raise additional capital easily. Getting back on the OTC Bulletin Board will certainly make funding for new and existing projects easier, and hopefully will lead to a much higher price for the shares, unlike those of the internet companies which are in strong disfavor in the stock market. Although we do use the Internet for both wholesale (Business to Business) and our Collector Clubs, we are not reliant on it for the growth of our overall business. Even though our revenues have increased substantially over last year, I believe we can do better. The acquisition of Team Sports, and several new licenses based on a broader market than individual movie releases should accelerate our revenue growth in the future. I also strongly feel that the products in our development pipeline, our increased marketing effort, our pop-culture oriented (including ever-popular comic book characters) product lines and new licenses and recent acquisitions will be the driving force for our future expansion and growth.
