Originally posted by STAR GAZER: [QB] PE stands for stock Price divided by Earnings. Since LBTT so far is trying to get approval to sell its products, it basically has no earnings yet and so it doesn't have a PE ratio. If their breast cancer detection equipment starts selling and if their arthro- scopic surgical blades start selling, then you could be talking about real money. Of course, you have to take into account the number of shares outstanding that they have. The pink sheets show 898 million shares, but in the Raging Bull site a few weeks ago one of the people said that LBTT told him that the actual # of shares outstanding was 300 million. If they earned $3 million/yr, then at 300 mil shares = $.01 earnings/share. At 1 bil shares = $.003 earnings/share. Many companies with growning profits have a PE of 15 to 25. If you average that and say that the company can have a PE of 20 if things work out, then .01x20 = stock price of .20 or if they actually have one billion shares outstanding then .003x20 = .06. So if they do end up eventually making $3 million/year (Or $0.3 million or $30 million) but lets say $3 million/year, then their stock could be worth $.20 or $.06/share. Either one is higher than its present price of $.014/share But PE's sometimes go way above a PE of 20. If any good news comes out, such as the CE approval, then their stock could climb towards the $.20 level. Maybe even higher? We can only hope. Would be a nice Christmas present. [/QB]
