Forth post on CWPC. Started talking about it in February when it was .25/share. And each time the stock had moved higher thanon the previous posting. Closed today at $1.57 and that is just a bare beginning for this stock. It is one of those stocks like Ford or Microsoft that will make early investors into millionaires. In discussing a Fortune article on Canadian oil sands on another board I said: A very aptly titled article "Fortune Article" It says: [Using present technology] "Alberta has 174.5 billion barrels of recoverable reserves in its oil sands." [Future advances will be able to extract the bitumen that we can't extract using our current technology and so] "All told, including deposits beyond the reach of today's technology, there could be 1.6 trillion barrels of oil embedded in Alberta." 1.6 trillion barrels of oil is almost ten times the official amount that is listed. To me that implies that if our official estimate ends up being 10 to 12 billion barrels and some estimates give a much higer number, then we may actually have 100 billion barrels or more of oil on our properties. That would be worth a lot more than $5-$10/share which many of use are guessing that the stock will be at by the end of the year or early next year. WOW, this is one of those dream stocks that years from now people will say, "Boy if I had known about it when it was $1 or $2 a share, I would be a multimillionaire now." Well, ladies and gentlemen, WE ARE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE. .... You might want to put some of your money in this stock and also become One of Those People.

A stock with astronomical numbers that involves Canada. The last time I saw the number 1.6 trillion my hopes of profit were destroyed immediately. Interesting. I'll look into this.

In the 8 days since I made my original post, (less than 8 days if you only count M thru F as trading days) the stock has gone from $1.57 to $2.18. If you look at the chart, it has started a parabolic up move, and the move is just in its infancy. If you compare the price of CWPC with other oil sands stocks, the shares should be trading between $80 to +$200, first they have to drill their property to give an official oil in place estimate. So you can still buy it at this price and make 10,000% profit.

Stock gapped up today and never backed off even close to yesterday's close. In some of my posts I have estimated that the stock will eventially be worth $250 to +$300/share. Other people have given even higher estimates. Heard a rumor; not from CWPC; that they turned down a buyout offer, from a major oil company, at a substantial premium to present price. The wheels, of this company, are not interested in being bought out; at least until reserves are proven; and at a price many multiples of the present price.
Their goal, is to become a major oil company, as Synenco is becoming.
They are well on their way. Have the patience to hold, for the big prize.
Personally, I believe the holders will pocket the bigger money. By: johnsword
CWPC - Some crude math here....
The Synenco project is the same size as CWPC's Alberta acquisition (i.e. 9216 Hectares.
CWPC estimates 3.4 Billion barrels from their Alberta acquisition.
Firebag East was estimated at 12 to 14 billion barrels.
Also, at $25 per share IPO is 180,000,000 shares (based on $4.5 BUSD raised) as opposed to CWPC 61,000,000 shares.
So, Alberta alone is worth about $75 sh. and $265 / sh for the remainder (Fire bag East) leaves a total of $340 per share.
Asumming the Alberta reserve estimates are the same. And don't forget the Pasquina Hills property with so far an estimated 7.8 billon barrels of oil. Shall we say the estimate is now OVER $500/SHARE? I kind of like these math problems.
With the foresight, its a good time for the funds to enter CWPC strategic positions at 2 - 10.0 - before the rest of the worlds investors enter - the AMEX listing will be next -
Due to the fact that the only avenue into the "oil sands" is through acquisition. I believe at some point in time there will be a bidding war.
With each months acquisitions (e.g. Deer Creek, there are fewer and fewer (if any)low priced "oil sands" companies left.
******************************************* Most of the primary leases in the Athabasca basin are now controlled, capping the number of new entrants and raising the possibility of takeovers.
John Mawdsley , analyst at Raymond James commented, "It is important to note that if a new player wants to become involved in oil sands mining, the only way to do this would be to buy another company." *******************************************
We know it can't go up everyday -- but don't tell anyone!

Very interesting paragraph from their latest filing (9/27)..
DESCRIPTION OF SECURITIES COMMON STOCK
As of August 11, 2005 there were 67,216,546 shares of common stock issued and outstanding that are held of record by approximately 149 shareholders.
At $2.25/Share that is only a market cap of 51 million dollars. With ~ 30 BILLION BARRELS OF OIL RESERVES, you know that the price is eventually going to be a lot higher. With only 149 shareholders, a few BIG shareholders must be the ones driving the stock higher. Maybe they know something that is in the works. Why don't you become one of the shareholders and be one of the few to share in the coming megawealth.
