Service Systems Delivers Ultraviolet Disinfection Systems to Louisiana

Nov 26, 2001: VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Service Systems International, Ltd. (OTCBB: SVSY) announces the delivery of the its first Single Lamp Reactor (SLR) Ultra Guard® for production, Municipal Wastewater Disinfection System. The system valued at over $100,000 will disinfect Sewage Wastewater discharged from the Town of Walker, LO.

The Town of Walker placed an order with Service Systems International Ltd for the supply of the Ultra Guard® UV system last year as part of an expansion and upgrade of the existing Wastewater facility. When completed, the facility will treat and disinfect 3.75 million gallons per day of the Town’s sewage effluent. The expansion includes the installation of clarifiers, pumping facilities and blowers. As part of the facility upgrade, the City ‘s plans included the removal of an existing disinfection system that used chlorine as the prime disinfection mean and replacing it with an environmentally friendly ultraviolet disinfection system. The Ultra Guard® UV system is scheduled for installation into the facility over the next few weeks.

In redesigning and developing its original UV product, Service Systems has spent the past two years and expended in excess of one million dollar to provide to the Water Industry Sector, a Single Lamp Reactor disinfection unit that has the capability of disinfection up to one million gallons of Municipal Wastewater per day.
