The Nunavut Water Board issues Jericho Diamond Project Water License for Ministerial Approval

TORONTO, Dec 24, 2004 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) -- (Canada NewsWire)

Tahera Diamond Corporation announces that the Nunavut Water Board has issued the 'Class A' Water License for the Jericho Diamond Project.

The water license has been forwarded to the Minister of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada for approval. Tahera anticipates that the federal Minister will make a decision regarding approval of the water license within a 45-day period.

Tahera is currently finalizing land leases for both the Inuit owned land and crown land associated with the Jericho Diamond Mine, and expects to conclude this process in a timely fashion.

Both the water license and the land leases are required before Tahera can commence construction of the Jericho Diamond Mine. Tahera expects that it will attain all of the required approvals in sufficient time to utilize the 2005 winter road for project mobilization purposes.

Hi soccerman, sorry for late reply, but I really would not know why you having this issue. My best bet is to call e-trade, and they will help you out.

On the other hand TAH hit 0.53 cents (canadian) today. I bought my shares on the high side, so in one of my accounts I was averaging 0.498/share.
I think this company has great potential, they work hard to get where they are, couple or more years of patience....

Tahera another step closer to Canada diamond mine
6:24pm ET (Reuters)

VANCOUVER, British Columbia , Jan 26 (Reuters) - Tahera Diamond Corp. edged closer on Wednesday to becoming Canada's third diamond producer after receiving federal approval for a key permit needed for building a mine in the northern Nunavut territory.

Tahera, a small Canadian diamond explorer, said Canada's minister of Indian and northern affairs had approved the Jericho diamond mine's water license, which was issued by the Nunavut water board in December.

The company is finalizing land leases for the project and expects to conclude these in a "timely fashion".

Tahera follows in the footsteps of giants BHP Billiton Plc/Ltd and Rio Tinto Plc , which built Canada's first and second diamond mines, propelling the country into the world diamond-producing ranks.
