i have been watching this one for a while as well. I liked it at 9.5, but watched this 2 back to back .50 lossing days, i am planning on getting it as soon as it turns, rsi is at 20, as soon as that heads up and price confirms i think i will be talkimg a large position, good luck to all, but the way it is now, we could see under $8

As always, predictions are never certain. AAI looks like it has bottomed and is now going up. The question is why did it recently bottom? I think it is because of anticipated poor earnings. Projected future earnings after this report (coming up soon) are positive though. I would sell at 9.39, near term, on a dead cat bounce (which it may have started on 1/14) to be safe. Holding longer will get you more, but how much longer will you have to hold? Maybe weeks. Much of whether, and when, it goes up or down, depends on market conditions.

Interest is stale here. AAI may market perform (only going up if the market goes up) at this point. I would get out and move on today. Risk takers may want to hold.

A quartet of hurricanes and record high fuel costs battered AirTran Holdings's fourth-quarter earnings, but it was still not enough to prevent the parent of AirTran Airways beating analyst estimates. The company posted net income of $1.1 million, or 1 cent per diluted share, down from $21.7 million, or 24 cents per diluted share, in the year-earlier quarter, beating the loss of 8 cents per share analyst consensus. Shares of AirTran Holdings were up as much as 14% in early trading.

Not sure, but probably not. Earnings better than expected but still very low. Haven't looked at it today.
