The On2 VP6 Communicator is an innovative multimedia application that combines On2's revolutionary TrueMotion VP6.2 video compression with cutting- edge collaboration tools. Through an intuitive user interface, the Communicator brings the power of interactive audio/video, text chat, real-time desktop application sharing, file transfer, and multi-party conferencing directly to users, all over a regular broadband connection. In addition, the Communicator manages user authentication and includes a helpful setup utility that tests user's multimedia hardware.
The On2 VP6 Communicator is being offered through a partnership with Gatelinx Corporation.
The On2 VP6 Communicator is offered on a subscription basis. The Enterprise Edition includes the full feature set and is priced at $29.95 per month. The On2 Personal Java Solution makes it easy for people to embed TrueMotion video files directly into their Web pages. It combines the power of the On2CompI professional video encoding application with the simplicity of the On2 TrueMotion Streaming Java Applet software. Since the Streaming Applet loads in the background when a user visits the Web page, no obtrusive player software installation is required. The On2 Personal Java Solution includes one license for On2CompI and permits unlimited distribution of the Applet for personal use.
