Greg, just out of curiosity, how did you come to this conclusion? I'm just looking for stocks to buy and wanna know what analysis you use to draw this conclusion? thanks.

As Art always says: Let's hope we can find some hidden gems in the trash ...

SYXI is very interesting, since it had what I thought to be a very good quarterly report come out after the close. It dropped further to 9.2 in the extended hours trading. Did I miss something?

They missed estimate by a penny:

"4:53PM IXYS Corp misses by a penny, issues guidance (SYXI) 9.69 -0.06: Co reports Q3 EPS of $0.01, $0.01 worse than consensus of $0.02; revs were $50.7 mln, vs consensus of $50.0 mln. Co expects Q4 revs of "at least $46 mln", vs consensus of $51.5 mln."

Thanks for the clarification, Pizzaboy; other than the missed penny the numbers looked impressive to me (growth) - I'll watch it closely tomorrow.

Let me summarize why I put SYXI on the watchlist. It lost >20% in less than 2 weeks, and just hit the lower Bollinger band, the SMA50, the 50% Fib level of the last major move, and prior S/R. Chances are that these together will give it enough support to stop the freefall, and hopefully make it bounce. You can also see a series of higher lows over the past 3 days, which is generally bullish (learned this from FST ....).

As I said, I'll watch is closely tomorrow. My gut feeling is that the 9.2's in the extended hours trading was an overreaction, but we'll see.

On SYXI....It's oversold and has higher lows, but I think I'd wait until short-term indicators start pointing up. Of course, that could be any day.

AZPN and SYXI look decent for 1-2 month hold.

TRIB isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

I'd take AZPN.

I think you guys may be right. I wouldn't say it has the best short term potential. I like it to hold for a month or 2.

Thanks for all the comments. This is my updated current watchlist:

ASKJ
CRIS
GTVCF
IPI
NTIQ
PSTI
SMSI
SYXI
VNWI

Of these, I think GTVCF and SMSI are close to an entrypoint. I'm still watching the others.

CNET-LOOKING FOR ENTRY AROUND HIGH 8'S TO 9.25. PULLED BACK FROM A 11.00 HIGH ON GREAT EARNING REPORT. IMHO A 1.00+ PER SHARE ON A 10-15 DAY SWING.

I like CNET - one support level is at 9.25 (62% Fib retracement of the most recent jump), and another is 8.9 = open gap on 1/30. It's too early to enter, though, IMHO.
