American Apparel is a new and fast growing clothing company. Soon they will be in malls all over the US. Back in December, they made a deal to be acquired by a SPAC (special purpose acquisition company) called EDA.
Today EDA is up 4% to $11.79. The original press release stated that the deal would be closing in the summer. Soon a deal will be finalized and this stock will get a lot of attention.

I can definitely see American Apparel doing great as a company... If you are from any of the major cities that spawn the fashion trends, you'll know that this brand is definitely up and coming and is a 'lifestyle' brand.
I believe the ticker will be changing to American Apparel as well, correct? This stock is pretty much under the radar at the moment. Great idea to buy now...

Yes, the stock symbol is changing once they re-list their shares on the nasdaq or nyse.

According to Reuters: "The combined company will operate as American Apparel and is expected to trade publicly on the American Stock Exchange or another national stock exchange and will remain headquartered in downtown Los Angeles. The transaction is expected to close during the summer of 2007."
