i'm a newbie when it comes to F/S , R/S etc ...

so just wondering wats going to happen to the stock price after the F/S ... i'm thinking it is going to drop down big time but by how much does it drop and does the price bounce back to a decent level after the F/S ?

is it considered a good thing if a company is doing F/S ?

thanks a lot in advance !!

netguy81:

the 50:1 is going to do to the stock just what the math suggests. For every currently existing share, there will now be 50 (starting monday) SO the stock currently trading at 2.35 (2.35 / 50 = .047) will probably come out of the gate at around five cents. The price doesnt really change, just the AMOUNT of existing shares! Get it?

How will one know when the split happens. I can see that the price is now a lot lower than 50:1 split which is weird.

Also, how will you portfolio get updated. BOA hasn't changed my positions?

Thanks a head of time.

There shouldnt be more than a three day waiting period for the stats to reflect the change. Best way to handle wouldve been to wait till this morning to purchase at the bottom of four cents, so the delay on the split would not have affected your shares. I personally am in at 2.11 prior to the split, waiting issuance of new shares, and also in post-split at 4 cents. GNNS is new symbol...
