ANYBODY THINK MSFT IS GOING TO GO UP ALOT WHEN THE X-BOX 360 COMES.................SUPPOSLEY ITS GOING TO BE A BIG THING IT WILL RELEASE IT LATE NOVEMBER READY FOR CHRISTMAS.........I KNOW IT WILL MAKE MONEY, BUT BECAUSE ITS SUCH A BIG COMPANY THE STOCK WONT TREMENDOUSLY GO UP?

I personally dont think it will do anything big since it is already such a big company. I have seen that some are saying we are in a dip right now. I hope they are right but I think the market is going to go down in the next few months. I think this is going to be a bad christmas for retailers based on americans having higher gas prices, higher interest rates, and more late credit card payments now than ever. Hopefully im wrong

I think the X-Box 360 will be a pretty decent success, except for the fact that MS apparently is restricting the numbers of the console to drive up interest/demand..why in the heck they would do that is beyond me..some kind of power trip?
Some gamers I know have basically stated it's hard to get one from the major retailers (when I say "get" I mean pre-order) because the numbers are limited. You basically have to go to one of the little guys to get one atm.
One of the titles that's going to be released for the X-BOX 360 (and the PC first I think) is The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, which will be absolutely AMAZING, or I will eat these words here. Bethesda is developing the game, and also created several popular prequels, such as Daggerfall and Morrowind (amongst others) but those 2 I have played. This game is sporting sweet AI (artificial intelligence), improved graphics, over 1000 unique NPCs (non-player characters), and a kick-ass physics system. There was a 20 minute commentary on the game out there on the Net (Fileplanet for example had it) but I think it was accidentally leaked or released and it was yanked. But I saw it, and it was sweet.
I think MS is in a bit of a decline atm..maybe by Christmas the share price will jump up a little, but that's all just my opinion. Like was previously stated, it's already a huge company..I dont think the revenues brought in by the X-Box will significantly impact the bottom line..usually with all video game manufacturers, they lose money on the consoles but make it back on the game sales. At least that's how it worked in the past.

MSFT is close to its bottom. This is a strong buy right now and is poised to move up. The xbox 360 is not going to generate a lot of revenues as soon as it comes out since they have a limit on the supply. i like their strategy to increase demand. Perfect dark zero, which is hyped as the next halo, should also generate revenues. the market position the xbox 360 gives microsoft should be enough to take the stock to at least $28-$30 by january. i also think that microsoft has the best chance to land the aol deal.
