This is a good SEC litigation archive,

http://www.sec.gov/litigation/litreleases.shtml

You will note, across the top, archives go back
to 1995 year.

In those filings, you will find Coca Cola, Google,
T.D. Waterhouse and many others which will surprise
you, no doubt. These days, no company seems free
of graft and fraud.

Those archives are a good background check for
companies and individuals about which and about
whom, you have misgivings.

Hey at least they go after these people. Only way to stop short selling without the sec steping in is not buying stocks that are on the list.

yes this is true,

BUT,

this kills the co's that are on the list....

many deserve to be on the list, probably most...

GTEL was on the list when i started posting about it last Dec.
GTEL has a very long way to go to become what we hope it will be, but, it's off the list now, and the buyers are the ones that forced it off the list....

check out this line:

Short % of Float (as of 8-Apr-05): 159.88%

this means that there are more shares sold short than are available to borrow against...

obviously it's on the SHO list.....
there are good reasons for it to be heavily shorted, but this is not supposed to be possible is it?

your broker is supposed to verify shares to "loan" you , if you short...
so WHO is shorting it exactly?????

this situation has been ongoing for at least 6 months now.....

enter whatever symbol you want...OTCBB and pinkies are less likely to have this form filled out tho...

it does require some research((expenses) to put it together...

short-selling is the borrowing of shares (from a current owner) to sell with the expectation of replacing them at a lower price...in many cases it is a sure profit....

however, naked short-selling means the sahres were probably not located for borrowing, the seller has not replaced them and they are overdue to be replaced..... eventually they have to be replaced.....
the abuses are many and diverse...

short-selling is not bad in and of itself..i don't do it for personal reasons..i had a grandpa like PG's i guess...

neither a borrower nor a lender be??????
