Saw this on someone's free news service. It seems its starting to blip on the radar. Can anyone advise on this one? I've researched it quite abit as I am a software developer who used to work in the Audio/Video retail sales field. It seems they (and partners) are wooing linux developers to get more "thrust" pushing this technology.
I also have experienced the frustration of trying to "converge" my computer with my TV and stereo equipment and I am "tech-minded". Seems like they have a good nitch here.

that's what I thought, even though their 2003 was much worse than their 2002 and I'm no wiz at accounting and financials, it looks like their alliances and aquisition are helping to position themselves well.
I just think that if I am trying to "converge" computer/internet equip. with my home entertainment equip. , that there's a chance that a lot more consumers are trying as well. The features are appealing I think.
Other thoughts: I have been amazed at the success of Netflix because I didn't think it would catch on but it seems that the public has always had an appetite for easy access to entertainment at a good price.
I have also seen some internet movie streamer companies that would allow you to buy a movie streamed accross the internet to download to your computer, forget the name of it, but almost bought it except for the fact that I couldn't get the movie from the computer to the living room easily.
