That is all, Diana?

Sheessh... I would think an investor like
you would at least acquire a fifty-one
percent interest in this airplane stock
of an unknown name.

Double L, am I missing something?

ON THE DL,

YOU OTTA KNOW BY NOW WE DON'T LEAVE MUCH SLACK IN THE ROPE. LEARNED THAT COULD BE A LITTLE DANGEROUS WHEN I TRAVELED THE WESTERN RODEO CIRCUIT FOR 2 SUMMERS IN THE EARLY 70'S. I BARREL RACED AND WAS HALF WAY DECENT HEADER FOR MY BOYFRIEND AT THE TIME WHO WAS A GREAT HEALER. WE DID OK. HE WENT ON WITH ANOTHER PARTNER AND WON WORLD WIDE RODEO FAME AND FORTUNE FOR 5 OR 6 GOOD YEARS. I ON THE OTHER HAND WENT ON TO DRUGS AND ROCK AND ROLL.

I WILL CHECK OUT ALPE. THANKS FOR THE STOCK TIP.

Double L, this is a stock certainly worth
some discussion.

I am not quite sure what to make of what is
found with quick research. I find both
positive points and negative points, but am
having some difficulty deciding which is
greater, and some difficulty deciding if what
I read is actually positive or negative.

A concern is eighty-six percent of their
revenue being generated from the post office.
They are experiencing some difficulties with
maintaining USPS contracts, but there is
nothing to indicate this is the fault of
ALPE itself. These contract difficulties
do explain their moving from profit last
year into loss this year, compounded by
their Chile venture.

Some reading material:
http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1092807/000101041203000381/kclb.txt

This statement is really weird. I am not
quite sure what to make of this:

"The consideration exchanged under the CLB
Agreement was negotiated at "arms length,"
between Alpine Aviation and CLB, with the consent of the Board of Directors, with
Mr. Mallette abstaining."

This document:
http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1092807/000101041203000381/ex10-2.txt

There you discover they own sixteen aircraft
with only three not cashed out. This is
very positive.

PROPERTY AND EQUIPMENT
Year 2002 1,868,233
Year 2003 19,036,085

Total Liabilities
Year 2002 830,094
Year 2003 12,046,955

Those figures are in keeping with their
recent purchases of aircraft.

Another document:
http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1092807/000101041203000261/q703.txt

Read these two sections in that document:

NOTE 15 - CONCENTRATIONS

Results of Operations

This is really a stock with mixed reviews!

Greatest concern I have is loss of those
USPS contracts which represent almost all
of their revenue.

Their problems with those contracts, again,
well explain their current loss situation,
made worse by the Chile expansion.

Appears they have those contracts again,
but what if they lose them again?

I would expect them to move back into a
profitable condition with those contracts
secured again. However, will this last?

Comparing their news releases for January,
surprisingly, I found all they state to
appear to be quite true. All the numbers
in those articles match with what is in
their SEC filings. They make no outlandish
claims but rather seem to be telling the
truth as it is, even when negative.

Overall, this company appears to be quite
honest and forthcoming in their filings.

They have been in business longer than most
posters here are old. They do have a long
history of being profitable. These past
few quarters are the only "bad times" they
seem to have.

Recent activity shows a hint of volume
leaning toward a price uptrend. Looks to
me prices are about as low as they will
fall, based on prior history.

Right now, as I write this, I am thinking,

"I should buy some of this stock."

Looks like you have found a hidden gem.
Not sure yet, but does appear so.

Help me out here, what are your thoughts?

Double L, have you researched and read what
information offered at their website?

I like what I read, specifically their
management team, all of whom are not
youngsters and do appear to be well
qualified and good community members.

Having looked at this company more, I am
finding more positive points than negative
points.

There are only two negative points of concern
to me, personally.

One is the obvious, problems with the post
office which is truly not the making of this
company. With eighty-six percent of their
business based on USPS deliveries, this is
high concentration of revenue in a single
customer who may not prove reliable. Some
risks there.

Nonetheless, ALPE management handled past
problems in an assertive manner which is
a positive point. Clearly they are intent
on surviving.

Other negative point is low volume. This is
not a serious problem but indicates what you
have written about being a long term hold.
Countering this, to sell large amounts of
this stock, you would have to drop a couple
of pennies below whatever the current bid
price is. That is ok with me because this
fits well into my sell strategy.

Everything else I find is very positive.
Their revenue loss recently, this is well
documented by ALPE, truthfully. They handled
this well and, most likely, sent a message
which lessens possibilities of this taking
place again in the future.

I plan to invest in this company for a
long term hold. Only challenge left is
at what entry price. I have no qualms
about a current ask of .90 per share.

Let us know what you think. Nice pick
and my appreciation is given.

I am still looking for a entry. Bid is at .75 (I think). Two days ago they droped and filled at .75. On the 13 feb. they will report a loss for the first time in a long time. I do not know how the market will react it they do at all. I think I will low ball bid at .50 and .75 with two buys before the 13th. If they fill good I am comfortable with it if not I will keep this one on my streamer and watch for a few months. I found this company on green baron( I think they have some good leads at times) They have a write up on it. I was looking at tpbv. Very risky play (pink) but I like it (LOW VOL.). I do not like to pump stocks but I like them also. They appear to be doing the right things. I e-mailed ceo a few times and he responded. They are new to public trading so who knows. I bought at .015 and sold at .025 for a nice profit. So when it dropped back down to .0161 I bought again. I am thinking about buying more at .02 it is at .025-.023 now. I have not done alot of dd on alpe. I spent very min. time on it so far. To bad you guys can not buy 10,000,000 shares. LL

Both a benefit and a bane for ALPE stock,
is low volume.

This is a benefit because a potential investor
can watch for a period of time and not worry
too much about sudden price changes.

A bane is it "might" be hard to fill large
buys in one day; commission fees could stack
up over several days. However, a good profit
margin would compensate for this. Nonetheless
I dislike having to pay multiple fees.

Another aspect, a bane, is selling time. You
will have to wait until prices are well above
your chosen profit margin, then sell at a
price below market, to unload quantity.

My opinion is there is good potential for
profit in the long term. Seems you never can
have all things just right. This clear USPS
concentration of revenue is a real concern.

Double L, I will follow your lead. I will
watch for price drops, try to shoot for
your estimated entry price. I suspect
next week will disclose bottom support.
I am a little concerned about "rebound"
from this past week's market pullback.

Seems a good time to include my disclaimer.
Never buy, sell nor hold based on opinions
of others, including myself. You could easily
lose money. Research well, make careful
choices and, most importantly, share your
opinions with everyone. Working together,
all benefit. All readers want to read your
opinions, regardless. This is very important.

I know about your disclaimer and you are one of the few that always reminds people of it. I might try and find out about how the post office considers bids. Somewhere I read they renew in the spring. So this could be good if they pull down some more contracts. I just do not know how all this works. Did you look at tpbv?

Haven't had a chance to look at TPBV just yet.

Been working most of the day on one of our
vacant rental homes. Broke a nail today,
so I am in a very bad mood. Don't press
your luck!

Double L, I will look at TPBV this evening
and return with a dubious opinion. First
I have to fire up our staple gun and fix
this broken nail.

Tropical Beverage! Yes! I sent email to them
asking about something, a month or so back.
Never received a response or their mail became
trapped in our spam filters.

Made mention of this company, just briefly,
a week or two back.

I know a bit about this company. Give me a
little time to refresh my memory, look at
what's new.

On New Year's Day, I sent this email:

Hi Chris,

I have not been successful at finding any SEC
filings for your company nor any financial news.

Perhaps you file with the SEC under a business
name different than "Tropical Beverages" which
I could use to examine your financial history?

If not, and if you don't mind, please send a
copy of your financial spreadsheets, at least
a summary, for the past two to three years.
This would be a typical SEC 10Q type format.

Before investing, I would like to examine your
financial history, very carefully.

(usual signatures and stuff)

No response. I let this one slide based on
a lack of response and inability to discover
much about this company.

I will have another look. Some of their
recent news is of interest.

QUESTION: WHAT CAUSED THIS STOCK TO LOSE 50% OF ITS WORTH IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS?

VOLUME IS NOT ALWAYS AN ISSUE IF IT MODERATELY LOW. NEVER THE LESS THERE MUST ALWAYS BE A BUYER. NO VOLUME IS A HUGH ISSUE.

TECHNICALS DO NOT SUPPORT SUFFICIENT INCREASE IN THIS STOCK. DOWNWARD TURN WITH NO REASON TO SHOW A TURN AROUND.

VERY EVIDENT TRIANGLE BREAK DOWN PATTERN WHICH IS OBVIOUS SELL INDICATOR.

WITH SO MANY EXCELLANT STOCK'S TO CHOSE FROM THAT COULD GIVE A HUGH RETURN IN A SIX MONTH TO YEAR PERIOD--I SEE NO REASON TO TIE UP FUNDS.

WELL THAT IS MY 2 CENTS WORTH!!! I WILL PASS.
