Any suggestions on where I should start?

Where does everyone think I should go? Ameritrade?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Would love to, but just found out WI isn't on the list, nor are a bunch of states, so pretty limited on who they would benefit...but gotta love the $5 trades, if you can get them.

when it says .99 per contract what does that mean?

I have ameritrade and choicetrade. Ameritrade is set up better. Ameritrade I like becuase you can set up everything through there site. You can set up monthly automatic direct deposits where with choicetrade you actually have to go to your bank to arrange a bank wire. Ameritrade has better research tools and a better platform in my opinion. The only problem is that the commissions are I think 10.99 which adds up. Choictrade is only 5 per trade. If I had enough money that the commisions didnt matter I would choose ameritrade over choictrade. If you want to be a cheapskate like me, sign up for ameritrade and use the 20 or 30 free trades and then get choicetrade.

Is choicetrade good for a light version of day trading?

I want to be able to buy and sell a couple times in a day if I want. I dont want to only be able to to buy/sell, buy/ wait 3 days to sell.

Is choice trade the best site for me?

Thanks for the feedback.

TMP----Like I said, check to see if you even live in a state that they offer accounts because if you don't, it's a mute point on what CTrade has to offer.

i have tried a few services...i prefer scottrade out of all of them..transaction fee is a little more than choicetrade, but i like it mainly because it has a simple layout and has many local offices

You need to start with a good Trading Platform. Go to PrecisionTradingSystem.com. They have free picks which do very well. This site also works with good Direct Access Brokers, such as DAE.
