June 26, 2012 - Earth's Oldest Impact Crater Found in Greenland

“The new find is centred to the east of what is now the town of Maniitsoq on Greenland's western coastline”.

http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn21996-earths-oldest-impact-crater-found-in -greenland.html

“Strong evidence of a large-scale, long lived mafic igneous event”

“The rocks we see today were about 25 kilometres down when the impact occurred”

The Maniitsoq area has seen very little exploration activity and was last drilled for nickel in 1972. Over four decades ago, Senior Danish Explorer Kryolitselskabet Øresund A/S ( with some fifty years of exploration in Greenalnd) drilled 119 holes to test outcrops with sulphide mineralization and accompanying electromagnetic (EM) anomalies. The promising results of the program were then re-checked in the mid-1990s by Cominco and Falconbridge, confirming a generally high nickel tenor of 8% nickel in 100% sulphide.

In 2011, North American Nickel’s Chief Geologist John Pattison undertook helicopter-assisted examination of known mineralized zones exposed in surface outcrop and the Company then completed helicopter-borne time-domain EM (SkyTEM) surveys. Three high-priority drill targets have been identified from these geophysical surveys.
The company’s exploration strategy is to select specific areas for detailed, high resolution, deep penetrating helicopter-borne EM surveys ensuring that flight lines are established perpendicular to the trend of their targets and to develop drill targets along the 75 km long belt of nickeliferous (nickel and copper bearing) norite.

High grade nickel occurrences; 9.85 m @ 2.67% Ni and 0.60 % Cu at Imiak Hill 12.89 m averaging 2.24% Ni and 0.63% Cu at the Fossilik showing
An underexplored property (previous hole lengths averaged <60 m)
A Strong evidence of a large-scale, long lived mafic igneous event
“New Technology in an Old Camp”
Proof that modern helicopter geophysical technology is significantly more effective in this rugged terrain than techniques used in the past
Initial targets to be drilled in summer 2012
Only 8% of project area investigated

Fifty Conductive Zones Identified In North American Nickel VTEM Plus Survey at its Maniitsoq Ni-Cu-PGE Project, Southwest Greenland

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 24, 2012) -North American Nickel Inc. (TSX VENTURE:NAN)(OTCBB:WSCRF)(CUSIP:65704T 108) ("NAN") is pleased to report that fifty zones of conductivity, many with significant strike lengths, have been identified in preliminary data from its recently completed VTEM Plus helicopter time domain electromagnetic survey over its 100% owned Maniitsoq project in Southwest Greenland. (See image 1).

More than twelve of the fifty have already been identified as higher priority zones which have the potential to become targets for the company's upcoming drill program in August. A more detailed analysis of all the VTEM Plus data is underway.
NAN CEO, Rick Mark, states: "We are very pleased that the VTEM Plus system has been successful in delineating fifty new conductors. With this data, we already have a dozen new targets similar in priority to the three drill targets previously identified in last fall's smaller SkyTEM survey, some with apparent strike lengths in excess of 1 km. Now that we can point conclusively to conductors occurring throughout the 75 km long belt, we are more comfortable than ever in describing this as a camp-scale exploration play."
The Greenland Norite Belt (GNB) is a 75 km long by 15 km wide belt of crustally contaminated noritic intrusions with numerous historical, high-grade nickel sulphide showings (e.g. 9.85 m averaging 2.67% Ni and 0.60% Cu at the Imiak Hill showing). Mineralization within the belt has consistently high nickel tenor (6-8% Ni in 100% sulphide according to work done by Falconbridge in 2000).

Despite its obvious high prospectivity, the GNB has seen little drilling. A total of 119 holes totalling only 6,300 m, for an average hole length of less than 53 m, were drilled in the 1960's and 70's. More recent exploration programs stopped short of drilling due to a lack of EM anomalies to guide drilling. NAN's strategy at Maniitsoq has been to use modern helicopter borne TEM systems to develop drill targets and it has proven successful. This technology was not available to previous explorers.

The VTEM Plus survey, combined with a SkyTEM survey flown by NAN last year, provides the company with high resolution TEM coverage over a total area of 860 square kilometers centred on the Greenland Norite Belt).

Data from the VTEM Plus survey is currently being processed and interpreted. All significant electromagnetic anomalies will be checked in the field and ranked. The highest priority targets will be tested during a drill program that is planned to commence in August.

The survey, which ran from June 20 to July 17 and comprised 3,532 line-km of surveying, was performed by Geotech Ltd. of Toronto, Ontario. Condor Consulting Inc. of Lakewood, Colorado provided daily QA/QC analysis of the data.

In late June, 2012 it was announced that the GNB was in place as a result of a giant meteorite impact.

Commences Drilling of Nickel-Copper Targets at its Maniitsoq Ni-Cu-PGE Project, Southwest Greenland

Vancouver, B.C. – August 29, 2012. North American Nickel Inc. (TSX VENTURE: NAN) (OTCBB: WSCRF) (CUSIP: 65704T 108) North American Nickel ("NAN") is pleased to announce that diamond drilling of select priority targets has commenced on its 100% owned Maniitsoq project. The drilling follows on the heels of a field examination program, which included ground proofing geophysical conductive zones, identified from helicopter-borne time domain EM surveys completed by NAN in 2011 and 2012. The drill program now underway is planned to include a minimum of 10 holes totalling 2,000 meters of drilling.

A total of 75 conductive zones have been identified by two EM airborne geophysical surveys completed over the past two years on the property. From the 75 anomalies of interest and subsequent to 3D modeling and field examination, a select number of targets have been chosen for drilling which is now underway.

President Dr. Mark Fedikow states; ”Our technical team has done an excellent job of evaluation and compilation of historical work on the property, designing and commissioning our two airborne geophysical programs, helicopter-supported field work and integration of all datasets leading up to the drilling. We have identified numerous high potential drill targets for follow-up with our first drilling program..”

MANIITSOQ PROJECT BACKGROUND

The Maniitsoq area has seen relatively little exploration activity given the abundance of high grade nickel sulphide occurrences. Most of the nickel at Maniitsoq is associated with noritic intrusions that are concentrated in (but not restricted to) a belt that is over 70 km long and up to 15 km wide, referred to as the Greenland Norite Belt (GNB). Historical exploration records indicate drilling for nickel mineralization dates back to a period between 1965 and 1972 when 119 shallow drill holes were reported. The holes tested exposed sulphide mineralization and shallow electromagnetic (EM) anomalies directly associated with outcropping mineralization. All but a few were drilled to very shallow depths using small portable Winkie drills. The average hole length was just 53 meters.

Nevertheless, numerous significant intersections included:

- Imiak Hill: 9.85 meters @ 2.67% Ni, 0.60% Cu,
- Fossilik: 12.89 meters @ 2.24% Ni, 0.63% Cu, and
- Quagssuk: 4.95 meters @ 1.97% Ni, 0.43% Cu.

In 1995 Cominco Ltd, in conjunction with the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS), flew a large portion of the GNB with a GeoTEM fixed wing, airborne EM system. Relatively few EM anomalies were detected. A review of this airborne survey data revealed that much of the survey was flown well above the minimum effective height needed to gather useful data and, therefore, detected few anomalies. Follow-up prospecting and limited surface geophysical surveys by Cominco in 1995 and 1996 and by Falconbridge Limited in 2000 did not lead to any drilling. Re-sampling of the drill core and surface showings by both Cominco and Falconbridge did, however, confirm the generally high nickel tenor of the sulphides (recalculated to approximately 8% nickel in 100% sulphide in the case of Falconbridge's work).

NAN acquired the project because it believes the area has the potential to host a major new nickel mining camp. By using modern, time-domain, helicopter-borne EM systems, exploration will be more effective at detecting nickel sulphide deposits in the rugged terrain at Maniitsoq than the fixed wing survey flown in 1995. Helicopter TDEM systems were not available in 1995 and their availability and improved sensitivity to buried and blind nickel deposits provides NAN with a significant advantage over previous explorers.

North American Nickel Completes Drill Campaign at its Maniitsoq Ni-Cu-PGE Project, Southwest Greenland

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 20, 2012) -North American Nickel Inc. (TSX VENTURE: NAN) (OTCBB:WSCRF)(CUSIP: 65704T 108) North American Nickel ("NAN") is pleased to report that it has completed its first drill campaign at its 100% owned Maniitsoq project.

Drilling commenced on August 26 and was completed on September 16. Nine diamond drill holes totalling 1,550 metres were drilled.

All nine holes have been logged and all mineralized intersections have been sampled. A total of 531 samples have been collected for assay. The samples are now on their way to Activation Laboratories for analysis and results are expected in four to eight weeks.

The holes tested electromagnetic (EM) anomalies associated with noritic rocks and nickel sulphide showings. The anomalies were outlined by SkyTEM and VTEM helicopter-borne, time domain, EM surveys flown by the company in 2011 and 2012. Crone Geophysics Ltd of Mississauga, Ontario surveyed eight of the holes with their 3-component borehole pulse EM (BHEM) system. Preliminary analysis has been completed and final analysis will be done before assay results are received.

Results from the drilling and BHEM surveys will be merged with the Company's existing exploration database which will allow the NAN geological team to finalize its plans for the 2013 drill season at Maniitsoq.

The NAN website has been updated and shareholders are invited to visit the website for previous press releases and more information on NAN and the Maniitsoq project. The Company website is www.northamericannickel.com.

NEW DISCOVERY OF HIGH GRADE NICKEL COPPER COBALT PGM SULPHIDE MINERALIZATION AT THE MANIITSOQ PROJECT IN GREENLAND

123.94 Meters of Near Surface
Sulphide Mineralization Intercepted

Vancouver, B.C. – December 3, 2012. North American Nickel Inc. (TSX VENTURE: NAN) (OTCBB: WSCRF) (CUSIP: 65704T 108) North American Nickel ("NAN") is pleased to announce the discovery of significant values for nickel, copper, cobalt and, for the first time, the precious metals platinum, palladium and gold on its 100% owned 4,983 km2 Maniitsoq project in southwest Greenland (see Figure 1 for location).

This new discovery at Spotty Hill, starting approximately 50 meters below surface, was made in diamond drill hole MQ-12-005 which was designed to test a vertical to very steeply northeast-dipping, pipe-like electromagnetic (EM) conductor, defined by the 2012 VTEM-Plus survey. Spotty Hill is a historical, near surface anomaly previously tested by shallow north and south drilling.

Highlights from Spotty Hill discovery hole MQ-12-005:

• 123.94 meters (m) grading: 0.81% Nickel (Ni), 0.21% Copper (Cu), 0.03% Cobalt (Co) & 0.26 g/t Platinum (Pt) + Palladium (Pd) + Gold (Au)

• Including: 24.20 m @ 1.75% Ni, 0.34% Cu, 0.06% Co & 0.52 g/t Pt+Pd+Au.
• Including: 8.20 m @ 2.39% Ni, 0.21% Cu, 0.07% Co, & 0.60 g/t Pt+Pd+Au.
• The mineralization is primarily hosted by disseminated sulphide with zones of near massive sulphide.
• The mineralization has high Ni tenor averaging 9.0% Ni recalculated to 100% sulphide and is likely to produce clean concentrate.

Rick Mark, CEO states: “The discovery of high grades of Ni, Cu, Co and PGM/Au in long drill intersections confirms a previously unrecognized style of mineralization at Maniitsoq. This bodes well for future discovery potential on this district sized property. With PGMs added to our high grade Ni mineralization mix at Spotty Hill, in addition to the previously announced high grade Ni/Cu at Imiak Hill, we can safely say that, our re-interpretation of historical results and the use of modern geophysical techniques, confirm the property’s potential to host significant Ni-Cu-Co PGM deposits”.

2012 SPOTTY HILL ASSAY RESULTS

Significant intersections are summarized in Table 1.

2012 FOSSILIK II ASSAY RESULTS

Assays were also received for holes MQ-12-006 and MQ-12-007 drilled at the Fossilik II Showing. Hole MQ-12-006 intersected 3.21 m of local near massive sulphide mineralization in gabbro, which averaged 0.63% Ni and 0.10% Cu. MQ-12-007 intersected 4.07 m of sulphide mineralization averaging 0.30% Ni and 0.13% Cu.

Historical drilling at Fossilik returned a result of 12.89m 2.24% Ni and 0.63 Cu. A re-interpretation of all the results at Fossilik will be carried out.

Kimberlite dykes were intersected in the two holes at Fossilik II and samples will be forwarded to the Saskatchewan Research Council for kimberlite indicator mineral recovery and micro- and macro-diamond recovery.

2012 P-59 ASSAY RESULTS

Hole MQ-12-008 testing VTEM EM anomaly P-59 located 250 m northwest of the Fossilik II Showing did not intersect any significant mineralization. Off-hole conductors were detected by downhole EM indicating that the drill hole passed above the target conductor. This target remains untested and will be looked at again next drill season.

ABOUT THE MANIITSOQ PROJECT

The Maniitsoq Ni-Cu-PGM project is located along the southwest coast of Greenland, a safe, stable, mining-friendly jurisdiction. The southwest coast of Greenland is navigable year-round and there are abundant potential sites for deep water ports.

This new discovery at Spotty Hill, together with the discovery at Imiak Hill (press-release on November 14, 2012) confirms the economic significance of the Maniitsoq Nickel Camp.

As described in NAN’s previous news releases, and shown in Figure 1, the Maniitsoq project is focused on the 75 km long by 15 km wide Greenland Norite Belt (GNB), the vast majority of which is within NAN’s exploration licences, which total 4,983 km2. The GNB is particularly attractive for nickel sulphide exploration as it hosts numerous nickel showings with consistently high nickel tenor.

Since acquiring the Maniitsoq project in 2011, NAN has completed helicopter EM surveys over most of the GNB. Numerous untested conductors have been detected and are being evaluated through prospecting and diamond drilling.

DRILLING & FIELD WORK ANNOUNCED

MANIITSOQ Ni-Cu-PGE PROJECT, SOUTHWEST GREENLAND

Over 100 Targets Identified

Vancouver, British Columbia, May 28, 2013 – North American Nickel Inc. (TSX VENTURE: NAN) (OTCBB: WSCRF) (CUSIP: 65704T 108) (the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has finalized the 2013 exploration plan for its 100% owned Maniitsoq project. The program, which is scheduled to commence in mid-June, will consist of a minimum of 3,000 meters of diamond drilling to follow-up on 2012 discoveries and test new geological, geophysical and geochemical targets identified from a review of exploration datasets. Surface pulse time domain electromagnetic (PEM) surveys and 550 line-km of helicopter time domain, electromagnetic and magnetic surveying will also be undertaken in areas not covered in 2011 and 2012.

NAN CEO, Rick Mark states: “We expect this to be a busy, exciting and productive year at Maniitsoq. Our experience on the project for the last two years and particularly our camp/drilling experience last year has allowed us to ramp up for our planned $5,500,000 2013 program smoothly and efficiently. Chief Geologist John Pattison has been full time on the project since we left Greenland last September. COO Neil Richardson will accompany our expanded ground team to Maniitsoq in early June with drilling expected to begin on, or around, June 21, 2013. Target identification has been very successful, as we now have identified more than 100 targets for consideration at Maniitsoq.”

Key elements and objectives of the 2013 Maniitsoq program are as follows:

DIAMOND DRILLING

• To explore along strike and down plunge of the high grade mineralized zones intersected by NAN in 2012 at Spotty Hill and Imiak Hill.(e.g. 123.94 m @ 0.81% Ni, 0.21% Cu, 0.03% Co and 0.26 g/t PGM including 24.20 m @ 1.75% Ni, 0.34% Cu, 0.06% Co and 0.52 g/t PGM at Spotty Hill and 26.98 m @ 0.98% Ni, 0.44% Cu and 0.04% Co including 16.64 m @1.36% Ni, 0.52% Cu and 0.05% Co at Imiak Hill). For example, the attached longitudinal section (Figure 1) shows the planned pierce points for three holes designed to test the interpreted down plunge extension of intersections in holes MQ-12-001 and -002 at Imiak Hill last year.

• To test new, high priority conductors identified by helicopter-borne time domain electromagnetic surveys flown by NAN in 2011 and 2012. Priority will be given to high conductivity targets associated with mafic-ultramafic rocks such as target P-63 (see NAN press release dated March 20, 2013 for details).

• Three-component bore hole electromagnetic (BHEM) surveys will be undertaken to increase the effective search radius of the hole. In cases where a hole has intersected conductive mineralization, the BHEM data can help determine its orientation. In cases where a hole fails to intersect a target conductor, the BHEM data can often provide more precise information on the direction to the conductor which allows the geologist to design a more accurate follow-up hole to intersect the target.

FIELD CHECKING OF POTENTIAL DRILL TARGETS

• Over the winter NAN’s exploration team combed through all available exploration data from the project area. As a result, the inventory of potential targets has increased to over one hundred (Figure 2). To date less than 40 of these have been checked in the field. This year a four person team will be dedicated to checking as many of the other targets as possible.

• The field checking will consist of prospecting, rock sampling and in some cases channel sampling and/or geological mapping.
SURFACE PULSE TIME DOMAIN ELECTROMAGNETIC (PEM) SURVEYS

• Focused PEM surveys will be done over selected targets where further detail is required. The PEM system may also be used to test geophysical and geological hypotheses prior to drilling.

HELICOPTER TIME DOMAIN ELECTROMAGNETIC AND MAGNETIC SURVEYS

• The surveys will be flown over several small blocks that cover areas of geological interest outside the main Greenland Norite Belt and in areas recently acquired by North American Nickel.
The 2013 exploration program will be conducted from a field camp situated within the project area. The camp logistics will be supplied by Xploration Services Greenland ApS of Nuuk who will also provide general expediting and support to the project. Westcore Drilling Ltd of Salmo, British Columbia will perform the diamond drilling and Crone Geophysics & Exploration Ltd. of Mississauga, Ontario will conduct the BHEM and surface PEM surveys. All of these contractors are experts in their respective fields.

THIRD MINERALIZED ZONE DISCOVERED

NEAR SOLID TO SOLID SULPHIDE ZONE AT IMIAK NORTH,
MANIITSOQ, SOUTHWEST GREENLAND

9.99m of ~30% to 40% Total Sulphides Intersected Within 55.75m of Sulphide Mineralization & Remains Open at Depth.

Vancouver, British Columbia, September 12, 2013 – North American Nickel Inc. (TSX VENTURE: NAN) (OTCBB: WSCRF) (CUSIP: 65704T 108) (the “Company”) is pleased to announce that a new discovery has been made with diamond drill hole MQ-13-029. The discovery, named Imiak North, is 950 metres northeast of the previously announced Imiak Hill intersections (see News Releases dated August 23 and September 5, 2013), and 1200 metres northwest of the previously announced Spotty Hill discovery (see News Release dated December 23, 2012).

These three mineralized zones are part of the newly named Imiak Hill Conduit Complex (IHCC) which is located in the northern part of the Company’s 100% owned Maniitsoq Nickel - Copper – Cobalt and PGM project in southwest Greenland. (See figure 1 and figure 2)

MQ-13-029, beginning 57.75 metres down the hole, intersected 55.75m metres of sulphide mineralization, including;

• 9.99 metre core length of near solid to solid sulphides averaging approximately 30-40% total sulphides, and
• 45.76 metre core length of disseminated, blebby and net textured sulphide mineralization averaging approximately 3 - 5% sulphides.

As at Imiak Hill and Spotty Hill, mineralization remains open at depth at Imiak North.

NAN CEO and Chair, Rick Mark, states: “We are very pleased to inform shareholders that the Company’s exploration program continues to deliver discoveries of near solid to solid sulphide mineralization at Maniitsoq. This discovery at Imiak North is in close vicinity to Imiak Hill’s nickel, copper, cobalt mineralization and Spotty Hill’s nickel, copper, cobalt and PGM mineralization. And, according to our borehole surveys, these mineralized zones are all open at depth. This follows the conduit model our geological team is using anticipating the nickel mineralization to accumulate in an embayment or footwall contact below these discoveries.”
