I want to put part of my savings account into my forex account and get interest on both the account value as well as open positions to max out on interest (in other words, get a higher return than my savings account and in such a way that I don't risk losing money through open positions by using relatively small open positions). I shorted the EUR/USD pair from 1.48 to 1.44 where I got both interest on the account, on the open position, and I made money on the short position when I closed it. All together I made about a 15% profit, which is better than a savings account of 4% per year as I have now. I could've made more but I don't want to risk money with bigger open positions in case the pair goes the other way for a while

The interest rate of the US dollar has lowered and as a result I no longer gain interest on open short positions.

I'm looking for a new currency pair that is in such a trend that I have a 3 double winner again either through shorting (if the short position gains interest AND the short position will make me money when I close it (downtrend), preferrably long term of course), or through going long (the other way around)

Does anyone know a hot currency pair like that by any chance?

I wonder if anyone is shorting the Dollar vs other currencies on this board?
