Amid growing calls to drop out, Trump vows to ‘never withdraw’
2 / 21

The Washington Post
Robert Costa
26 mins ag

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said in an interview Saturday that he would not drop out of the race under any circumstances, following calls from several in his party to do so.
“I’d never withdraw. I’ve never withdrawn in my life,” Trump told the Washington Post in a phone call from his home in Trump Tower in New York. “No, I’m not quitting this race. I have tremendous support.”
“People are calling and saying, ‘Don’t even think about doing anything else but running,” Trump said when asked about GOP defections. “You have to see what’s going on. The real story is that people have no idea the support. I don’t know how that’s going to boil down but people have no idea the support.
“Running against her,” Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, makes keeping the party behind him easier, Trump added.
“It’s because she’s so bad. She’s so flawed as a candidate. Running against her, I can’t say it’d be the same if I ran against someone else, but running against her makes it a lot easier, that’s for sure.”
Trump’s comments came less than 24 hours after The Washington Post published a video Friday where Trump bragged in vulgar terms about kissing, groping and trying to have sex with women during a 2005 conversation caught on a hot microphone.
Trump acknowledged that the video has consumed the presidential race — “it certainly has” — but he said he has endured past controversies, not only during his 2016 bid but during his career.
“I’ve been here before, I’ll tell ya, in life,” Trump said. “I understand life and how you make it through. You go through things. I’ve been through many. It’s called life. And it’s always interesting.”
Trump said “thousands and thousands” of backers have sent him letters and emails since the Post’s story was published. “You have no idea what it’s like,” he said. “So many people.”
Trump pointed to his disparagement of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) during the early months of last year’s Republican primary campaign as an example of how he has weathered political storms.
“Everyone said, ‘It’s over, it’s over.’ The people didn’t say that but the reporters said that,” Trump said. When asked to explain his ability in the past to survive, Trump said it’s because “I’m change.”
Reflecting on his state of mind as he watched news coverage from his apartment, Trump said, “I’m holding up well. I’m holding up well.”
Trump said he met with his advisers and family Friday night at Trump Tower and agreed to record a video response.
Trump said he may make a speech or remarks on Saturday evening, perhaps in a suburb of New York City, as a way of encouraging his supporters.
“That’s what I’m thinking about,” he said. “We’ll see.”
Trump insisted, again, that any possible speech would not be a departure from the race.
“Forget that,” Trump said dismissively of the suggestion. “That’s not my deal

11 years ago. Everyone knows who trump is, and everyone knows who Clintons are. nobody wants another lying career politician. No more bushes, no more Clintons.

If trump ran as a democrat, there would be millions and millions of democrats voting for him just because they will never vote for anyone other than a (D).

So let all the hypocrites who have been married three times, cheated on their wives, and engaged in the same locker room conversations at one point in their life go and make a big stink.

What do you think happened? Years back it was always busy. Who runs the site?

cash I think the board died with the penny stock boom. this not a board that has a lot of interest in stocks over a penny. not that I am complaining . its just the way it is.

Over-moderation back in the hey day initiated the decline, then poor management from there secured its fate.

There are far more active political forums on the net anyways.

Yeah that penny stock boom years back had so many people involved. Lots of big pump and dumps. CMKX is what brought me in back then. Seen some really huge scams come and go. FFGO, SLJB, QBID, BKMP, etc.

I think Twitter really became a go to site for news and politics. Plus Facebook. Investorshub still seems active, but there is a lot of scam stock promo there still.

I guess it was just and end of an era around here.

HAHA QBID brings back the memories. I was banned numerous times trying to get twits to run while they could.

I actually saw a truck down here with a CMKX bumper sticker quite a few years ago.

Twitter is a flawed platform. It is also dying. Banning Milo might have been their final error. Now they can't even find a buyer. Stunningly Twitter's mistake is similar to this forum's... Over-moderation and censorship. Currently the flourishing web forums on the net censor very little.

The common problem between FB and Twitter is the same reason the millenial pansy snowflakes today love both. You are only exposed to content that you follow. This allows for a very naive view of reality considering both forums are the single source of news for many idiots who call themselves aware/informed.

I suspect this is a manner of information gathering that government is entrenched in promoting. It allows for the easy manipulation of perception.

I prefer an information overload type of media. An unsheltered approach to discourse among we the people. Which is why I have (Since abandoning this place) preferred unfiltered message boards.

lol milo, that guy is very witty and hilarious. Yes, Twitter is now dying on the vine for the reasons you just said. Over-censorship.

I would die laughing if I saw a CMKX sticker. I felt guilty for getting some friends in on it back then. I was new to it all and originally fell for the silly hype and lies. I wish Urban Casavant would have been in prison. There are still people out there waiting on checks. Sad.

I can't speak for FL but I assure you, the latest PA and OH poll numbers for Clinton are complete bull**** and the Clinton campaign knows it, hence the plethora of bogus articles like the one you posted earlier. The liberal media is running a full court press and they are trying to paint the picture that Trump has already lost but those who live and regularly travel in these key states know otherwise jmo...

Do you have a point with your last post? Maybe you are under the assumption that the polls #s or the MSM has even an ounce of credibility with me? I'm not that guy Ray...

CNN has her up by 12 so it must be true. You can't possibly be that naive, right???
