football hasn't been mentioned this season.

this is always my favorite weekend. 8 of the best teams in football are playing and next week only half will be left.

NO and Seattle? two of the best home teams in the sport- i am a NO fan but i have to admit they should not be favored. even tho they are not and should not be favored, i know they CAN win if they make a couple good plays in the first half... they haven't made many good first quarter plays this year. i watched every game....

SD and Denver? I like SD. SD beat Denver at home already and peyton mannng is a great quarterback, but he doesn't win in the cold. (He is from a few miles of where i live) They LIKE to play in August here for some strange reason....

SF and carolina. being a saints fan, i want Carolina to win So NO can go back to Carolian and put the whoopin on them they deserve. But i think SF should probably win by more than 7 after watching both teams play a few games recently...

NE and Indianapolis. brady against Luck... What's that saying about it's better to be lucky than good? This game will answer that old question.. should be awesome. it's hard to bet against Brady but I beleive that we will see SD in Indianapolis next weekend... [Wink]

NO in Carolina is the other game i'd like to see, but i would not put any money on that

sadly, that NO Seattle game went about how i expected.
there is holding on every play in the NFL both in the offensive line and the defensive secondary. it seems like Seattle gets to hold on both sides of the ball more than any other team i've ever seen, and i've watched alot of football...

even the commentators who were "in the bag" for seattle seemed to think the Seattle secondary did a good job of holding without being called for it...

Drew breez did not play a decent game for about 3/4's and didn't deserve to win, but the NO defense did deserve to win, they only screwed up abdly one play the whole game.... Seattle came up with the individual efforts needed to win at this level... it's too bad NO and Seattle don't get to play in a neutral stadium like the superbolw cuz i think we'd see a really great game... that game had too many overlooked holding calls IMO.

next game? i am rooting for indianapolis, but i would neverplace serious bet against brady- he knows how to win these games. Luck could make this interesting tho...

bah! now you all know why i don't bet on football [Big Grin] i know the better teams won, but i like to root for the underdog...

tomorrow? i want sandiego and carolina... think i can go 4 four four? my gut tells me that if i were going to bet, i should take the 9ers and the bronco's... peyton manning doen't play well int he cold, and chargers beat 'em there last timehtye played there, but the Broncos are the better team... go Chargers!

i don't think the denver offensive line is nearly as good as they need to be to take on any of the top four NFC teams. peyton V brady is toss up IMO. last one to have the ball will prolly win it, you MAY even see teams give up touchdowns to be the one wth eball last.

i know that sounds crazy, but i've seen it work several times this year even tho it didn't appear to be on purpose.

I want SF to win and have been waiting since 1994, but most likely Tom "I'm underpaid" Brady and his Patriots will win...

I think you have a good chance of seeing them win in Seattle. I saw a good bit of weakness in Russel Wilson in theSaints game. The problem is that Seattle stadium is a hrd place for out of towners. SF plays there alot so they know what they are up against.

As with the Saints game? IMO, it comes down to what the Refs allow the secondaries to get away with. Seattle secondary players have been allowed to hold this season much more than any other team i have ever seen. I watched them grab Graham around the waist three or four times with no flag. Holding happens on every play so it just comes down to how tight and how equally the refs enforce it....
I'm no 9'ers fan never have been, but i think they ar the better team as of right now. The Saints made too many mistakes adn should not have lost. Carolina? They lost the line of scrimmage. They left more points unscored than they made, and they made some really dumb mistakes. SF defensive line was very strong and should be able to do the same thing to seattle.

yeah, but they need to be more than one score ahead in the last 5 minutes IMO.. i still think this will come down to last one to have the ball

IF San fran can beat Seattle? i think SF will beat either Denver or the pats. but if Seattle wins (which is most likely because of the home feild advantage) then Denver can beat Seattle at the Superbowl IMO.

Well, it looks like maybe i was wrong about it going to the last possession. The playcalling by Denver has been outstanding. They switched from 3rd down and short and passing to 3rd and long and running at just eh right times etc. I suppose that is Peyton amking ht right calls at teh line. This last drive with three points here was all they needed...

U were right about the refs... some sketchy calls imo.

that game stunk. the refs really screwed up the roughing the punter call badly. you cannot touch the plant leg of the punter-

i lost count of the bad calls and no-calls.

i like good defense, but the best thing for football is to keep the defensive secondary off the recievers unil they touch the ball...

if seattle had scored a TD instead of fumbling again, the NFL would have had a serious credibility problem on their hands...they do already IMO, but that would have been too much..

Seattle has good defense no doubt in my mind, but there's no way the refs are going to let peyton mannings recievers get shut down the way seattle does it without a whole lot of very angry people.
i think this season was the worst refereeing i've seen since last season whne they had those fake referees [Wink]

Load the house and farm on Seattle.
So you think Pete Carrol will be going back to USC in the near future?

i would take that bet if bet on football. I like denver by 14.
I do not expect eh refs to allow Seattle secondry to hold the receivers as much as they have been allowed to in the NFC, and i don't think Seattle has the maturity to handle the superbowl hype.

LOL< i think picked only one single winner in the play-offs this year.. The saints over the Eagles.... somebody coulda made alot fo money by listening to my picks and playing the opposite... that's why i don't bet on football.... i admit that i like the underdog...

that first play kindof set the tone. Denver didn't do anything right that that i saw...

can't even blame the refs for letting the seattle secondary hold too much, they did alot of holdng, but it didn;t matter cuz the Denver Offensive line was in Peytons face most of the time and batting or tipping his passes.....

Congrats to the seattle fans... i hope Seattle has to come play in the NOLA Superdome next season, but they prolly don't play agin in regular season till the seaon after next...

what i saw today? SF, NO, Carolaina and the Seahawks should have won strong today... New Orelean and San fran played Seattle better IN Seattle than Denver did at neautral stadium in NY today...

Seattle beat them up.

I should have loaded up, but i don't bet on the games either, really don't even watch the pro's anymore. Although i did watch this one some, mainly because we lived up there awhile.

Should have taken my own advice and pulled out of the stock market for awhile, it continues to be hammered like Denver was.
