this is the best reason i have seen yet to carry a 30 round clip in a semi-auto for Self-protection.
the video stops sooner that the story does.

remebr this is state where it is illegal toload more than 7 rounds in your gun, and that wouldnot have been enough.

this will become more frequent if more laws get passed like the one in NY.

at the beginning of htis video, when the bikers surrounded the range rover and tried to stop this guy? they may have committed a felony.
there was two year old in the rover.

Article 135 - NY Penal Law

KIDNAPPING, COERCION AND RELATED OFFENSES
S 135.00 Unlawful imprisonment, kidnapping and custodial interference;
definitions of terms.
The following definitions are applicable to this article:
1. "Restrain" means to restrict a person`s movements intentionally and
unlawfully in such manner as to interfere substantially with his liberty
by moving him from one place to another, or by confining him either in
the place where the restriction commences
or in a place to which he has
been moved, without consent and with knowledge that the restriction is
unlawful. A person is so moved or confined "without consent" when such
is accomplished by (a) physical force, intimidation or deception, or (b)
any means whatever, including acquiescence of the victim, if he is a
child less than sixteen years old or an incompetent person and the
parent, guardian or other person or institution having lawful control or
custody of him has not acquiesced in the movement or confinement.

what i would like to know is who called the cops adn when, and where were they? probaly too busy stopping frisking innocent people...

Well that's the poorest excuse for bikers I have ever seen more like weekend warriors. But they broke the law all the same. I wonder why they picked this guy in the jeep with a two year old?

dunno why they chose them yet. it's not the "bike" part that is an issue IMO, it's the gang issue...

i would not have stopped for them at all until i got to police station. i might have tried harder not to hit the guy if i could, but i would never stop under those conditions either.

it's intersting to see how many people support the bikers on the youtube comments.
the video was taken by one of the bikers and the bikers apparently beleived they were "in the right" so i am GUESSING the guy did something to piss them off to begin with.

where were the cops? in this day and age you expect cell phones and to be bale to contact them right away....

if you wathc the video carefully? it looks like the bikers had people blocking the entrance ramp to e highway (in front of the SUV)and they also had more gang members show up from another entrance ramp... this appears to have been a little more than spontaneous.... could be some sort of staged incident too, but i can't figure out why they would do that....

thugs. These arent your harley freedom loving guys.
Im so sick of liberals trying to ban guns and magazines. I do not understand why they want to make it harder for people to properly protect themselves.

Utopia will not work.

So whats the deal?
Did not make sense that others wouldn't have called also, with all the cell phones.

Looked like a fairly populated area, could have a helicopter there quick.

Sometimes i wonder if the police don't like dealing with the larger motorcycle groups, in this case gang.

I saw on the news tonight that the guy in the jeep ran a biker over when they first surrounded him, and that biker is hurt pretty bad. That still does not answer the question what caused the confrontation to begin with.

You are right if it came to protection of himself and family 30 round clips would have been better than seven.

It will be interesting what the legal system says.

As far as i am concerned you need to do whatever it takes to defend yourself from being killed.

It appeared these guys were not there to just say hi.

The car can be a lethal defense, and could have taken more guys out.

What choices do you have in this situation, from what i saw.

glassman - posted
not much choice and not muc time to make it in...

whhen a biker starts brkae checking you? you have to assume that he trying to makestop. I wouldn;t stop. I might have swerved but then i might hit somebody else....

and yeah i agree the car could have easliy taken out a few more if he was being aggreesive instead of fedensive...

I saw more on the TV tonight.

It appears these bikers had been a problem prior to this.

This might explain why the police did not help.

They beat this driver up pretty bad, another guy step in and convinced them to stop, before they got his wife out of the car and possibly the kid, if the tv stations information is correct.

It appears a big time lawyer will represent the biker.

I guess there is a lot of publicity nation wide, so the big boys can get a lot of attention from this.

An other point is why did the guy in the jeep leave his door unlocked ? The first thing I would have done is lock my doors and used my vehicle as a weapon.

the biker that started it all says he is not responsible

You knew something wasn't right. Off duty police in group, that sucks, they let this guy get beat up and his family gets to watch. That's probably why the police department never responded.

Flipping off everyone really helps the guy's chances in court... what an idiot
