We all know smoking is bad for your health, really bad. Some of you may smoke, or be former smokers.

I myself, am working on ridding my life of tobacco. I have always been a fan of a nice cigar too.

Now, we live in a country where we should be free to chose what we want to do such as the size of soda we want to buy in NY. However, I just looked up the chemicals in smoking today and really examined the list. We are pretty familiar with some of the things in the products, but man...some of this stuff blows my mind.

My question is, how is it that the government allows these products to be sold to the people knowing it will be ingested. I get that the tobacco lobby is very powerful and how that works. I see a lot of food products being more regulated than tobacco. If some of the things allowed to be put in tobacco were to be allowed in say certain food products at the grocery store it would never fly.

Why is this aside from the lobby? Kind of reminds me of the BP dispersants. Very toxic, yet permitted to be dumped all over the gulf in mass amounts. I remember when the BP spill happened watching those planes crop dust the gulf with it and knew it had to have issues with what was being put into the water.

What do you all think are the most poisonous additives put in a pack of smokes? It is hard for me to determine which is the worst because they all look completely awful.

Simple. Don't smoke.

Right, but my fascination about all of this is how a product can be legally sold for consumption that has such known poisons in it.

Actually....your "fascination" is to find someway...somehow to blame it on Dems. But alas poor dipstick, both parties are to blame. Again, another lost venue for you.

Try harder....really....I'm serious!

I never brought up Democrats. What is up your butt today? You are always angry...ugly on the inside as usual.

The worst part of smoking is that they take advantage of the people that can't afford it.

They tax and tax it.

I like cigars but have not had one in years, they bug my throat.

Other than that, i guess its the ones that smoke business, although others would disagree with me.
