Yes, remember folks we need to become gender inclusive. No more men or womens bathrooms either! Make sure you paint your childs bedroom neutral colors so they can decide for themselves as they grow older if they want to be a man or a woman regardless of their natural identity.

http://dailycaller.com/2012/10/23/unc-chapel-hill-bans-term-freshman-as-offensiv e/

The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill eliminated the word “freshman” from official university documents as part of a concerted effort by the administration to use “gender inclusive language.”

In a statement sent to the conservative CampusReform.org on Monday, administrators said they were “committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our community.”

“Consistent with that commitment, gender inclusive terms (chair; first year student; upper-level student, etc.) should be used on university documents, websites and policies,” the statement said.

But not all UNC students are excited about the change, or feel it is necessary at all.

Brandon Hartness, the executive vice chairman for the school’s college Republicans chapter, told Campus Reform, “I feel like they are making a big deal out of nothing.” “Girls,” he said, “are not going to deem the word [freshman] as sexist.”

“I feel like most people don’t even think about it,” Hartness continued.

UNC News Services Director Karen Moon said that the policy has actually been in effect since 2009, but only came into the spotlight after libertarian reporter John Stossel highlighted it.

“I also learned that the college [UNC Chapel Hill], to ‘protect’ women, had dropped the word ‘freshman’. The PC term is now ‘first year,’” Stossel wrote in an opinion piece published on Rasmussen Reports.

“UNC,” Stossel continued, “also decreed that no student may ‘implicitly’ or ‘explicitly’ ask for sex. (Then how do students get it?).”

Yes, liberals unite!

I really have to ask. How is it you are still alive after being so utterly ignorant your entire life? I'm being serious.

I would figure someone of your low IQ would have definitely made the Darwin list by now! [Eek!]

Stay on topic. If you approve of banning the word freshman because it has MAN in it and you need to make it more gender neutral just say so. Obviously it stirred something with you.

so now you're all about "staying on topic" huh?.. typical. sooner or later, when u put your brain to use, you will see that all these words that end in man or men were used because only men held those jobs/positions. ridickulos as it seems, there is a point to be made. If a female held a job that was only done by females, was there a "man" used in the word?...the answer is no. even the words woman/women was made up by men and a point could be made to eliminate that word too, I know.I know,,,,,seems crazy to do that, but you are a man and very tight-azz, so that seems dumb. But the times, they are a - changing, my young friend. Hell, my father thought a power mower was crazy, and we were the last ones to get one, but we got one. females couldn't vote and that was the only way to be. to grant them the right was a huge struggle, and i know which side u would of been on.

Good grief. It really isnt a big deal to the majority of society to call a 1st year college student or 9th grade high school a "freshman". ITs only those who get butt hurt by the smallest things who scream the loudest. INJUSTICE! they cry.

Do you know that mankind means both women and men?

So forgive me if I do not feel like paying for someones sex change who works for the city, or dont want someones daughter using the same bathroom as a cross dressing man. Men go in one bathroom, women go in another. Why do you have such a problem with that too?

Ive been to many unisex bathrooms.....never a problem for me. In fact, its kinda cool... But i can see how u struggle with that scenario. The word "mankind" was invented by men,by the way.

I don't have a problem with whatever you want to use as words...but some ppl do. separate bathrooms..i don't give a crap..but u do.

So, if you have a daughter and say she is 12, you are ok with some 40 year old man in a stall next to her? WTF is wrong with you?

would i trust a 40 yr old man to sit next to my 12 yr old at a rock concert?...no.....at church?...no...lots of crazies out there. But I don't think they want unisex at a grade school either. Lets try to stay sane here.mmm..k? the subject wasn't putting kids in a small room with pedophiles, was it?...stay on topic.

Jordan, you do realize you are a very small minority opinion with this. Just because you believe in what...maybe 15 or 20% of the population believes does not make you right.

changing ignorance one moron at a time...its a slow process but you'll catch on eventually. what diff does it make if Im in the minority?..that means absolutely nothing.
