It's been along time since i got to watch them in the playoffs.. i only root for two teams in baseball, the Orioles and whoever is playing the Yankees.

You sound like my Grandson, he does not like the Yankees, he's 9.
So when he asks who i like when the Yankees are playing, i always say the Yankees.
You know Baltimore doesn't have Brooks Robinson anymore.
Both our teams got knocked out, but Trout ain't to bad.

i saw Brooks Robinson play several times. Boog Powell, Frank Robinson, Jim Palmer... sheesh the orioles were loaded with talent in the late 60's... i lived in basbell heaven and didn't know any different... to me the yankees were a 2nd rate team.. i didn't know any better... been along time ...
i also got to see the Senators play in DC when i was really little...
i saw Cal ripken play a few times long before he became really famous.... My wife and all her friends had a big crush on him so i used to tease them about him alot....

Forgot about those names back then.
As far as the Yankees, they had a pretty good duo in Mantle and Maris and a few others.
Looks like the Dodgers are trying to rebuild their mess with big bucks, we will see how that goes, they still had the following but need to clean the ballpark image back to the 60's and 70's.
They still have Vin Scully who's still a great announcer.
