Bull****
I'm not admitting anything of the sort, Big, and I would hope that you would know that after the discussions we've had. Let me turn the question around... Who are you (and the LGBT community and their supporters) to tell the majority of this country what their personally held views on what they want the PREFERRED base unit of their society should be?
That's North Korea talk. That's oppression.
No, Big, you have it backwards. Having a minority tell the rest of the nation what they have to believe and accept is oppression. Majority decisions are the BASIS of democracy. This is why the individual states were supposed to be sovereign bodies. If one state(read: the people of) wanted gay marriage, they could allow it. If one state (again read: the people of) didn't, it wouldn't be allowed. People could move to where they felt their beliefs were sufficiently represented. That's why the homogenization of states is NOT a good thing. If you don't agree with policy you have nowhere to go. Look at what you're asking the alternative to be. You'd have a small number of ELITES(substitute any term here you wish, the result is the same) telling the UNWASHED MASSES (again, whatever term you prefer) that they know what is MORAL and the MASSES have to just ACCEPT it and OBEY. You tell me which option is oppression. [/QB]
