Something is brewing behind the scenes.

According to the article, the four countries are preparing 90,000 troops, 400 aircraft and 1,000 tanks for the massive joint maneuvers, which are to take place along the Syrian coast within a month.

The report states that Russian “atomic submarines and warships, aircraft carriers and mine-clearing destroyers as well as Iranian battleships and submarines will also arrive in Syria” and that Egypt has agreed to let 12 Chinese warships cross the Suez Canal for the exercises.

"US Policymakers should urgently re-examine their assumptions about the 'progress' of Russia and China 'towards democracy'. They should take account of Sino-Russian strategy and should recognize that the long-term strategic, political and economic threat comes from a Sino-Russian axis and associated participants like North Korea, Iran, Iraq and syria. The Russian and Chinese leaders are still committed to their objective of world domination and believe that, disguised as 'democrats', in accordance with Leninist teaching, they will be able to achieve it." - Anatoliy Golitsyn, Memorandum to the CIA, "The Perestroika Deception", 1992

Interesting to look back at this, considering what happened over the course of the next year...

I am not sure saber rattling does much good anymore with all the nukes out there.

But it does spend a lot of money and help some businesses.

Saber rattling? You don't find it interesting that they had war games, then a few months later we were in a tense standoff with Russia over Syria?

Not really.
Hard to follow all the crap that goes on around the world.
Everyone playing games and trying to show how bad they are, seems like junior high stuff.

The mid east is always a junior high playground, we should stay away because we lose our troops and seem to gain nothing in the end, but losing more troops in another mid east country.

You think we would learn, but there is to much big oil money over there.

Yeah all that saber rattling from Russia in Ukraine as well. Good think they aren't actually doing anything but shaking a saber....

More saber rattling in Syria. Good thing we are only shaking the saber... We need to rattle it more in Iran and China, only two left on the list.
