This letter is a joke! Do our senators have nothing better to do than worry what Rush Limbagh says on his radio show.

What's worse is Rush was directing his comments towards one person, who in fact had called his show and identifyed himself as a decorated soldier when he was not. He never was in the military.

Harry Ried is a coward as he would not repeat his accusations on any TV or radio shows because he knew he was lying. I guess noone can be held liable for anything said on the floor of congress.
If Harry Ried was an honorable man he would go on Rush's show and apoligize for attacking a private citizen with false information.

Lockman,

That BS that "Rush was directing his comments towards one person" is an absolute lie and you should be ashamed for defending that dope headed draft dodging coward.

Reid did tell the truth and has more than once repeated his statements about Fat Rush on TV and certainly in that letter to Mays at Clear Channel or has it escaped your super biased outlook to note that the letter you are slamming contradicts your claim that "Harry Ried would not repeat his accusations".

If Limbaugh were an honest man, he would make a public apology to each and every member of the armed services and if you were an honest patriotic citizen loyal to your country rather than the republican party you would apologize for lying about this incident.

It is obvious that you didn't bother to actually investigate and hear The Doper in the original statement, in which he makes it bluntly clear that he is NOT speaking of any particular individual soldier. It was later that he lied and attempted to change what he said, claiming he only was talking about some one particular person that he had spoken of the day before...and that is BULL.

Why can't you recall that Fat Rush is an out and out coward that faked illness in order to dodge the draft. Cowards like him have no business calling any of our loyal soldiers names of any kind and the sort of person that would champion a draft dodging dope head and foster his damning of our brave military needs to be ashamed.

Your hatred and lies and anti-American propaganda in favor of nazism is sick.

Bdgee, Should I have expected any less.

Even though you disagree with me on the Rush issue do you really want our congress leaders spending their time on a radio talk show host.
Why not let Air America deal with that.( are they still on the air? wonder why no one listens to them.)
You really don't need to try and insult me with your name calling. I suppose you think Harry Reid is a great American don't you.

Yet your hero Clinton the cigar pusher dodged the draft and you say nothing?
Odd?...
Do you by any chance have the direct quote of what Rush actually said? I've only heard claims from both sides.. no actual quote.

I'm not seeing where Rush referred to all anti war soldiers as phony.
Seems as though he was trying to say that the left is giving airtime to people who weren't soldiers and then billing them as though they were.

The funny part about all of this is that Harry Reid went on the floor of the US Senate this afternoon and tried to take part credit for this fundraising event!

The winning bid was 2,100,100 and Rush is matching that with his own donation making the total donation $4,200,200.

Rush challenged all of the 41 senators who signed that letter to match his donation if they want to prove that they dont loath the military and I've yet to see anyone donate a dime! The charity was to pay for college tuitions of children of fallen Marines.

Bdgee, this line is for you. Rush is a class act for doing this and was able to make an arse of Harry Reid in the process. GO RUSH!

"Even though you disagree with me on the Rush issue do you really want our congress leaders spending their time on a radio talk show host."

Yes, when it is to point out the hypocracy of a crooked lying unamerican cowardly draft dodger.

"Yet your hero Clinton the cigar pusher dodged the draft and you say nothing?"

First of all, Clinton is not my hero and never has been.

Second, it is a right-wing lie that Clinton was a draft dodger. He submitted his name to the draft board stating that he was draftable along with a statement of protest of the war. His number never was at the top of the list, as was the case with many who were not drafted. THAT IS NOT DODGING THE DRAFT.

He did not fake illness or disability to get a false classification as undraftable as did Limbaugh.

"I'm not seeing where Rush referred to all anti war soldiers as phony."

Then you either never saw any of it at all or only the rewritten edited version claimed later by Limbaugh. In the original statement, he did indeed say that all soldiers in Iraq that had ever said anything other than the Iraq war is excatly as the Administration claims if a "phoney sholier". The operative pronoun used by Limbaugh was "they" and that is hardly a reference to a single person that later he admitted he had talked about the day before or two days before. Ge lied when he claimed he was talking about that guy when he declared the Iraq objectors to the Administration spiel on Iraq were "phoney Soldiers".

urnso, this line is for you: You are as fascist as the cowardly draft dodging Fat Rush the Doper and cheering that unamerican jerk buying his way out of his lies is also anti-American.

did you hear about this one? [Roll Eyes]

Congressman: Americans getting 'heads blown off for the president's amusement'

Rep. Pete Stark, D-Calif., has added another item to our catalogue of the sort of discourse that now defines so much of American politics.

Stark took to the House floor yesterday to speak in favor of overriding President Bush's veto of legislation that would have expanded a children's health insurance program. He somehow veered into Iraq, saying that young Americans are getting their "heads blown off for the president's amusement."

"The truth is, Bush just likes to blow things up in Iraq, in the United States and in Congress," Stark says.

I just am not seeing why there is outrage over this.
What Rush said.. even if he said it like Bdgee suggests... Is NOTHING in comparison to what many if not MOST liberals have spurted DAILY.
And Bdgee, the part where you agreed that the government should be involved in this...
A tad surprised at you with this...
Someone who sees a fascist state emerging should be more concerned with what government should be allowed to insert themselves into.
The rest of it where you hate Rush and all the rest I expected...

Doesn't he make like 30mil a year.
I don't listen to him very often but he does have a loyal audience. What I find amusing is how much respect the left gives him.

AMEN!

The Munchkin Man gives Rush Limbaugh a hugh dose of credit for the Munchkin Man's belief in God.

Rush Limbaugh has said many times on his radio program that his broadcasting talents are "on loan from God."

After listening to Rush Limbaugh for many years, the Munchkin Man became blessed with the realization that his assertion was one of truth.

For the Munchkin Man, Rush Limbaugh's crowning achievement today provides further proof that Rush Limbaugh is a deeply patriotic, spiritual, and Godly man.

Best Wishes,

Munchkin Man

I used to listen to him a few years ago... And IMO, he does have a good understanding of how politicians operate... However, I stopped listening because he is so full of himself when he does get something right, and his show started turning into nothing but satire/comedy skits/songs... I think that was around the time he had his ear operation, which was the reason he started on Oxycontin...

I do agree with Lockman and others though... what a waste of time... The politicians who signed that letter should be ashamed of themselves... Seriously, with everything going on in this country these days, surely they have something better to do with their time than worry about what Limbaugh says on his show...

i don't understand it either, other than our system is failing...

Bush brought up the specter of WW3 in a press conference this week...

i think he listens to Rush for speaking tips...

We got a leader in Iran who has announced that he wants to destroy Israel. So I've told people that if you're interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing them from have the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon. I take the threat of Iran with a nuclear weapon very seriously...." (George W. Bush, 17 October 2007)
and i swear he smiled when he said it...

I dunno Glass... IMO it isn't really the system that is failing...

It's politicians failing to adhere to the system... and the American people letting them get away with it because they fail to understand why the system is set up the way it is.

As far as Bush, I'll be glad when he is gone... That way the "72%" can build a bridge and get over it already... Let's just hope he doesn't take the "Scorched Earth" route between now and then...

I am still pulling for Ron Paul, but he is a long shot IMO... One thing I will say, is that I hope who ever gets in there next will work on restoring the checks and balances that keep these sleazeballs in line... instead of going ape$#!t over something a pompus talkshow host like Limbaugh says... Sadly though, somehow I doubt that will happen.

Sooo... we'll be waging war but snipping his internet connection and soon after anyone else who doesn't like Israel?
Something that's been nagging at me is I don't remember ameannutjob ever saying HE was going to destroy Israel...
Sure a bunch of talk about how they would soon be gone.. more about their evil empire and the like, but he always seemed to qualify his statements by adding they would do it to themselves.
Am I wrong about this?

the deal is, such shows are only about ratings to sell product. In other words, Rush et al might easily switch parties or sell colon cleansers--they're not about information but rather inflammation...

Amadinejad believes in the arrival of the Imam al-Mahdi who will lead Islam to world domination..

it is quite likely that he believes he needs to build nukes so that Imam al-Mahdi can use them, since it is not likely he will win a world war without them...

If guys like this weren't drawing a crowd they would not be on the air.

Sometimes i think the more rights that are taken away from us the bigger the audiences get for these shows. Maybe it's because these shows have few limitations on what they can say and we have more limitations on what we can do.
