I once watched a gas company run a line across a small creek that was just like you said, TOTALLY devoid of life because of acid drainage. The entire bottom was covered with a disgusting orange slime that stuck to everything. According to DEP, the gas company was required to replace the dirt removed with clean stone. Within 12 hours the clean stone looked exactly the same as the rest of the stream bottom. [/QB][/QUOTE]
