I watched the ABC Evening news tonight. It had a long report on an Iran terrorist group that, acting on advice and direction of the U.S., is intending to overthrough the existing government.

Soo.... No covert US interference.. No direct US military action....

Just exactly how do you plan on dealing with the extremist Islamofascists in Iran?

Oh yeah.. "Turn the Knob". It's none of our business.

Exactly what the hell has that got to do with anything?

On exactly what authority do you base your assumptions:

1)That there are extremist Islamofascists in Iran that must be dealt with?

2)That, if there are and they must be dealt with, it will be impossible to deal with them through diplomacy, making war the only option (or even a viable option)?

3) That I am required to provide a plan for either dealing with Iran or not dealing with Iran?

I simply noted that one of our major news services is reporting illegal war activities in Iran by the U.S., nothing else, no interpretation, no discussion, no anything but the information.

So Bdgee, did the news report give any names of the sources for this information or was it just from un-named "U.S. officials"...?

You know, the same ones that told us Saddam had WMD's and that Al-Queda was in Iraq?

Islamofascists, Bushistas, the Christian Reich...

They're all the same. [Big Grin]

Indeed they did. And no, it was not the sources that told us there were WMDs in Iraq and that Al Qaeda was entrenched in Iraq and in league with Saddam. (The main source for that pack of lies was Bush. Too, you were one of those, as I recall, even threatening me and others when it was pointed out where you had misquoted and misrepresented reports to make your desires sound to be true.)

I think all you need to do is look up ABC's online site to get that information. Hell, I provided you with the news source, you could easily look it up on the net.

Yep, here 'tis:

http://****s.abcnews.com/theblotter/2007/04/abc_news_exclus.html

So, why are yiu acting as if I provided no information? Trying to brush over things that you want to not be true again by changing the subject and laying the blame on me?

Shame, shame, shame.....

"A Pakistani tribal militant group responsible for a series of deadly guerrilla raids inside Iran has been secretly encouraged and advised by American officials since 2005, U.S. and Pakistani intelligence sources tell ABC News."

"Pakistani government sources say the secret campaign against Iran by Jundullah was on the agenda when Vice President Dick Cheney met with Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf in February."

bdgee?

why is it illegal?

it the only sane way to fight the Iranians IMO...

we don't want to put anymore US bootleather in the sand than we already have... allow the Sunnis and the Shiites to settle this amongst themselves

the Sunni Governments (except the Taliban and Al Queda, which is not a country) have all been allies..
the Taliban was an embarrasment even to other Muslim countries

It worked well in Afghanistan and the only reason Afghanistan is getting worse is because Bush diverted all of the capital to Iraq instead of following thru in Afghanistan

Indeed it is illegal, just as it is illegal for foreigh operatives to practice terrorism in the U.S. It also violated international law. The U. S. is bound by international law via treaty and there are numerous Supreme Court rulings that say that treaty requirements have the force of law in U.S. Courts.

And yes, it is true that "It worked well in Afghanistan and the only reason Afghanistan is getting worse is because Bush diverted all of the capital to Iraq instead of following thru in Afghanistan"

However, the assumption that it is impossible to achieve results with Iran except by force is not one that has been tested since the Reagan efforts of Iran/Contra. We have been fed that propaganda in spades by exactly the same voices that fed us the lies about Iraq. It is time to change approaches, at least until they are PROVED to be false.

I think this is good news. If they can overthrough the government it would help out the world as long as the next government is not worse than the one they have.

And therein lies the tale.

Yep. In fact, the Bush Administration is installing the next "terrorist regime" in Iraq right now.

It doesn't take a genius to figure this one out.

you really mean your version wouldn't take a genius... you have clearly shown that you are clueless on Iranian issues...

there are still plenty of geniuses working in the US Govt. they just aren't in the white house...
except for Rove... everybody (both GOP and Dems) acknowledge that he is in fact an evil genius...
