[/qb][/QUOTE]yes, and if your a defender with your head up looking for the ball, not touching the receiver, and the receiver grabs your shoulder. at this point ther receiver has no right to touch defender either. you need to see the whole replay not the snipit where they're jousting [/qb][/QUOTE]The call was because the defender pused the reciever so that he couldn't reach the ball, i.e., interference. There is no rule declaring that a defender is absolved of interference if he looks bacward as he commits the foul. If you impede the opportunity of the reciever (or the defender) to reach or catch the ball, it's interference. [/QB][/QUOTE]
