I'm an American first...registered democrat, voting republican. That's why it's so great to be an American. You can be one thing, but have the opportunity to choose alternatives when you feel the need to do so

when i registered to vote, instead of picking democrat or republican i picked independent although i should register as a republican to protest my unhappines with this state.

I am not a full blown libertarian, and would probably never vote for one,
basically my definition of libertarian. is give me my liberty's, let people make the choices not government, also what government there is should be small, much smaller than it is....I'm sure we could all name the needless gov't laws within all parts of our societies.

just a quick run down.

****misssed your link to their website**** gues thats where you were lost LOL

You know what I find funny, maybe scary. Talking to a few people today about who they are voting for and one said he was voting for Bush because Kerry was taking his gun away. Asked for more differences and he had no answer. I was told Kerry was taking my gun away. Scary.

If you are voting for someone because someone told you the other was taking your gun away, maybe you need it taken away. Because you are scary. Bush and Kerry both lie, and do anything and everything to get elected. If you think Bush wouldn't lie and cheat and scare you to get elected and pray on the christian community that Kerry is Evil then you shouldn't vote. If you don't think Kerry will lie and cheat and pray on the elderly and poor then you shouldn't vote. I want people voting who know the truth and can see politicians for what they are. I think there are real issues and clear differences here that should make your choice. Not your religion or fears.

Next thing I think is scary is one party being in charge again. They argue that a split in the house, senate, or president causes grid lock. But thats what the party in power want you to believe. When in fact when there has been different parties in charge of the different branches, compromise is more likely. The federal budget goes down and the parties, public tend to not fight that much. I mean one party has been in control and this country is so divided. Not to say that is all the problem but the party not in charge feels disinfranchised which leads to angry which leds to where we are in this cat fight.

I'm registered Independent, and damned proud of it!
I still see no good alternative here, although I would almost vote for a monkey to get Bush out of the White House.
I think that will be the surprise in this election...alot more people than we think are gonna vote for Kerry just to see the backside of Bush going out the door.
That's the impression I'm getting anyway...
We'll see how or if the Osama factor plays out here.
Aren't you guys tired of arguing with each other yet? Or are you just bored from the lack of a decent market to play in??LOL

well i'm sorry you feel that way Keith...

i have presented my opinions and backed them with as much fact as i could find, and i have passed over many obvious lies trying to find the truth....

so many people seem to be accepting of the idea that we didn't go to war over WMD, yet i have clearly shown that Bush used the idea of WMD to mobilise US to invade Iraq and there is NO WAY Bush would have been authorised to invade Iraq without the WMD thing.. NO WAY....and you expect that people will follow him blindly after a mistake that big?????

i have no doubts that Kerry is a liar..he's a politician..

you live in Mass. you must feel surrounded...i felt surrounded when in So Cal, NE and i feel surrounded here...

remember i asked Bush to recant on the swift-boat ad, i thought he did, but then he didn't, i asked for a simple acknowledgement of error on invasion, instead we got flat denial of any error..in my opinion that's because Bush never cared whether there was WMD, he was going in no matter what, and he used 911 and WMD to whip US into a frenzy....

i don't like going against the CIC either, but i feel as tho we are being manipulated, not treated with respect.

I personally have a problem with putting two lawyers in the Whitehouse. Too much red tape in the government as it is...and they are way too dominating. Healthcare has went to hell because of ambulance chasing lawyers. When vioxx was pulled, it didn't take but a day for all the commercials to come out from these bloodsuckers trying to make a quick buck....makes me sick.

maybe vioxx never should have been approved,....i don't know for sure.

i do know that the lawyers are why they pulled it....and the lawyers were already onto it...and it might NEVER have been pulled without them and it definitely wouldn't be pulled without the threat of them ........

on the other hand, i don't think 100million$ lawsuits are proper at all...
10 million sounds like agood overall MAX, and i think lawyers should NOT be allowed to charge more than 25% of the total...

Its a fact that there are too many lawsuits. I found it odd that just a week ago Gen. Westley Clark when asked if there were too many of these suits he said "No". Anyone with eyes and has been paying attention can see that there are. I believe that people are addicted to health insurance or the idea of having it. I don't like it and believe that it has done more to harm our heatlth industry than any thing. It preys on people giving them a false sense of security that only God can give them. Its a scheme and a rakit. People believe that it gives them a free ride so to speak, but it never does. Its a pay me now or later sort of thing with high interest. Also drives up prices of health care. IMO I'm an American Repulican by the way. I vote for whom ever I think will do the best job. I have voted for Rep, Dem, Independent, and write in candidates.

This will go over big, Glass! I don't want my gun taken away from me either! I've hunted my whole life! Where I live, deer meat provides a lot of people with an alternative to beef, which they can't afford to buy! Deer is much lower in fat than beef, and better for you! If you don't keep the deer population down here, they starve to death! No, I don't love killing animals; it has just been a normal part of my life growing up! I live in farm land, where they butcher cows, and pigs, and chickens! Not very pleasant, but a reality! It has to be done, before you can eat it! Cows are humanely shot between the eyes, before being butchered! It is the fastest way to keep them from suffering! They go down instantly! Sorry if I turn you against beef!

I've also been stalked by a neighbor, when my husband was on night shift! It was comforting to know that I had a way to protect myself, if he broke into my home, even though it would take everything in me, to ever aim a rifle at another human being! Why take away our hunting weapons? I passed my hunters safety course! It is my right as an American, to be able to go hunting!

Don't worry glass, the like and respect are still there. its hard to tell when you're stirring the pot or you really believe some of the silly things you say. then you use moore clarke etc.... for references to DD. thats like using machs dwb newsletter for stockpicks LOL.

....and you ignore the great DD (mine).

you really need to go back and check my link to rumsfelds fighting moves. (funny)

you are correct about me presenting some stuff that matches up to moore, but i never saw the movie till it came out on DVD so i was just doing my own DD, and i never logged into his site until after i saw the DVD either..
politics has always been the dirtiest game in town, that's why the founding fathers didn't want the church anywhere near it..and the politicians use religion as best they can...it's a cost-efficient way to campaign...

Kate, for fun, i shoot a modified ruger 10-22, Fajen silhouette stock, .995' butler creek bull barrel, and 24X scope....they'll not get it from me don't worry, i can light matches at 50yds.....i also have a nicer one with a volquaartsen barrel...and that's my toys....i have even more serious stuff....

i'm not a liberal, i just know when to hold'em and when to fold'em

i'm willing to risk it this time, we kicked Clinton's butt on gun control. kery won't dare to try ....it's better to switch now, for the long run i THINK...

i'm not going off half-cocked..
vote your heart, i will too, i believe what we need, will be what happens...

i have done my best to be honest here...
yes i have bought into some lies, but i did my best to figure things out and share them, and i can go with whoever wins with a clear conscience....that's my real goal...

Glass, if you have researched it you probable came across this page. But if you have not check out this link. http://www.aaos.org/

You probably know to get a second opinion, but the op. is not half as bad as it used to be. She should be up and walking that same day. It does greatly increase the overall well being of patients who require such a replacement. Keep in mind that if she is experiencing some pain, and lack of mobility, this will improve the quality of her life.

Hope all turns out well.

Then why do we need the FDA? They are suppose to research these drugs and their possible adverse reactions before they approve them...that's why everyone gets that little piece of paper in each and every prescription they get filled, which the pharmacist(most of them) does not bother to explain...and the patient doesn't bother to read it either.
Then you have the lurking bloodsuckers waiting to find something wrong with everything so they can benefit from it...and without them, the public may not ever know the truth about what could or could not harm them...RED TAPE!!!

As for your mother, maybe they found a defect in some of the parts used in hip replacement surgery...or potential defects. I know the surgery itself could last anywhere from an hour to two and a half hours depending on the surgeon and the technique he/she uses. It will be very important for your mother to move around as much as possible after surgery to keep from having other complications such as hypostatic pneumonia...she needs to turn, cough , and deep breathe every two hours for the first week even when she is resting(very important). Sometimes the surgeon will use a type of cushion called a trochanter roll when the patient is in bed to keep the hip aligned(she needs to use it if her doctor orders it). It will be hard on her to move around at first...she will be very sore. She won't be able to stay by herself. Encourage her to move around as this will help her to reduce the swelling and the soreness a little bit more each day.

Make sure she donates blood to be used in case she needs a transfusion during her procedure. She needs to let the person who is drawing her blood know that this blood is to be used for her in case she needs it. It usually takes a week or so for the blood to get screened for use.

Good luck and let me know if I can help you with any questions you might have.

hmmmmmmmm.....
do you know how the FDA works, and who does the research that is presented to the FDA?

are you suggesting VIOXX is perfectly safe and that this is a scam?
LOL not very good timing is it?

hey don't forget Clinton wanted to add tobacco--or was it Bush?..Clinton started a big federal lawsuit aginst the tobacco companies and doggone, i think Bush extended it instead of cancelling it...

Bush did cancel the MSFT anti-trust thingy...i dunno if that was good or not...

Not sure...but I have seen drugs that are worse and haven't been "pulled" yet. I know VIOXX has been shown to cause an increase in heart attacks, etc. What I don't know is if the people that they studied were predisposed to these complications (personal or family history), or if in fact these were healthy individuals with no health problems . I also don't know what age groups they studied. Also, there are two other drugs that have basically the same chemical compounds as vioxx (bextra & celebrex). Were they studied? What were the results? Who performed the study? And was the group of people from the vioxx study similar to those of the other two?
I just think the FDA is about as vital as the UN is right now.

Sorry Glass...the devil made me say it..LOL
