I think it may be a good idea for all who make policy for US Americans that your own kin should follow. Bush was/is so adamant for us to go/be in IRAQ - maybe he should send his daughters to fight his cause.
All other politicians should do the same. Make onmly policy that you and your kin would support by action and not by mouth and others dying innocently.
I wonder if OUR policies would be different and maybe in the interests of America.

maybe those who join the military should go to battle is that not what a military is for....

Your argument works better if there was a draft. These folks are all paid for the job they chose in peace and in war time.

thinkmoney - posted
I know. I am only making a moral point. I doubt Bush would make same policy if he was forced to send his kids to war, JMHO.

keith, they are paid to DEFEND the constitution.....
i don't see that the constitution was in any danger from Saddam....

why don't we just call Rumsfeld the Secretary of OFFENSE and be honest about it.

found this today,
the Bush administration included in it's spending plan for fiscal year 2005

A)27.6 million$ to develop earth-penetrating nucular devices....

B) 9million$ to study low-yeild nucular devices

C)30million$ to prepare an underground test site in Nevada......

FORTUNATELY---REPUBLICANS in the House have managed to block the spending on this in the past and continue to do so......

i think we would be breaking another treaty if we do this testing....

hey glass,

hope your dry now. well, lots of folks including clinton said sadam was our #1 threat.

read paragraph 12 of resolution 1440 basically outlines severe consequences as authorization for war........

I hope are military is paid to take on the iranian nukes...

I should add that although I agree with the war. I find it absolutely disgusting that every possible safety measure is not being taken to ensure that each soldier is safe.

this "battle of the peace" is awfull. I think pulling out would be the wrong lesson, but use the advantage we have.

frustrating.

glassman - posted
i think we agree alot keith. you see i am NOT anti-war. i am against imperialism....i am against invading third world countries that can't defend themselves because they are thinking bad thoughts(next it will be our own citizens)we've already seen ILLEGAL incarcerations...
i am against leading us into a world economy(daddy Bush) and then backing out of treaties.....
BAD BUSINESS
i am against building a UN and then trashing it when it's convenient for your personal wars...and YES, IRAQ is Bush's PERSONAL war....they didn't even bother to remove the web-site postings demanding that Clinton invade Iraq......Jeb Bush is a signatory, George is not, but he hired Rumsfeld AND Wolfowitz to run the Offense. he brought Cheney in as VP (another signatory)....

who has to follow rules???
me and you...

these politicians dont.....and i am not being partisan here..... i am tired of being lied to

i am also very concerned that a man who can't even pronounce the word wants build MORE nuclear devices. especially TACTICAL nukes, they are esp. BAD cuz once they use JUST ONE, all bets are off...

lack of wisdom....
plenty of boldness..
i like that in a ROOSTER,
not my president...

some say bush is dangerous
some say kerry is dangerous

sadly those are the only choices
do you want a strong aggressive dangerous
or a weak unsure dangerous.

also disgusted with putin, instead of playing hardball, he makes his gov't less democratic.

al queda is loving this, changed spain with the bombings, change russia with the hostages.......

will they try and get bush out of office next..... (cuz kerry is losing currently and i dont see anything going on for him yet)

hahahahahahahhahaahahahhahahahaah

keithsan, bush is osama's best friend in the world. osama wanted to terrorize your population and destroy your way of life. with the help of bush (his patriot act, impearlist wars, lying to you and getting away with it) osama has been succesful.

"al queda is loving this"

yes, they are.

oh, and yes soliders are paid to goto war, but if its such a fine job, why don't white suburban americans join the army? They don't because the army is a **** job that pays little money. I don't know the exact figure, but many american troops in iraq aren't even american citizens, they are poor immigrants so desperate for citizenship that they will go to war for it.

- Kevin

p.s.

by the way, its been disturbing how bush is exploiting the slaughter 3,000 americans for his own political gains, its disgusting.

One thing I can say for sure, Bush will surely rot in hell for what he has done along with his buddy's adolf, nero and osama.

yes, the terrorists are WINNING.....

their numbers are INCREASING because we didn't DESTROY them in Afghanistan when we had the chance.....
we ran in too many directions at once.....and that is most definitely Bush's decision, and it does NOT indicate good planning to me.....

today it was announced that a 52 year-old woman was arrested for having a book-marker with lead weights in it trying to board a plane... Osama is laughing his A$$ off.......no- the situation is not clear-cut or EZ....but Osama shouldn't be ALIVE to laugh anymore.........

I still have a little bit of faith left for some reason. America does have a nice history of rising up from oppression, the 'hero american' propoganda thats spoon fed to you down there isn't completely false. America rose up against the British for freedom, America rose up against the south for freedom, America rose up against Germany for freedom, America rose up against Communism for freedom and America rose up against its own institutions for freedom during the civil righrs movement.

I'm really hoping history repeats itself, and America can rise up against its quassi-facist leaders before its too late.

sheesh now have to defend Kerry...Keith whyya makin me dothat???

Do you think it was weak of Kerry to stand for what HE thought was right after he came back from Nam??
(before you answer think of Kent State, and My-Lai)

Do you really think Kerry flip-flopped on the war in Iraq like the Repubs keep repeating? He voted to give Bush the authority to go to war(that's what Bush needed) then he voted against the funding cuz he disagrred with Bush going in alone. This is politics, the funding was there, he knew it....his vote didn't stop it....

who was the last Senator to be elected to Prez? Clinton? governor
Bush Jr.? governor
Bush Sr.? hmmmmm, congressman, i think he was just the Veep( sorta maybe cuz the veep is the head Senator...)
Reagan? governor...(BTW he started out liberal and flipped to conservative...LOL)
....
Carter? governor...
Ford? LOL who effin cares...

Nixon....YES..LOL he was in 1950.....
LBJ...yes 1948
JFK...yes 56

anyway, my point is that any Senator will have a record of trading votes for influence....
Cheney has very odd voting record in the senae too....

i am not endorsing Kerry...i am just trying to point out the campaign "SPIN" that seems to be working for Bush....
if he gets elected, i will be hammering him when it isn't harmful to our troops...
that's one of the things that Bush is really ticking me off about, cuz his campaign has sunk really low.....today somebody else from the whitehouse said that the terrorits are trying to get Kerry elected...that is LOW and sickening

kevin you are a loon,

sorry but 9-11 happened the dems want to say he cant talk about,

please explain the exploitation.
could you also explain who is currently harmed by the patriot act, and exactly what rights have been taken.

and have those supposedly taken rights passed the court system yet.....sorry if rights are infringed the court wont back it and it will be removed.

thought osama wanted us out of the middle east, how hard is he laughing, now we in afghanistan and iraq, lining up hopefully for iran.... hope he giggles soon.

Back to Glass,

yes thats insane, the old lady, why cant we profile terrorists, completely insane. (not all bushes fault but he hasnt helped)
politically correctness is assinine. on all fronts.

LOL, now FLA's supreme court is gonna let Nader on the prez ballot in FLA....what a joke....

glass, i thought you were going to defend kerry, is that all you had, he's in trouble.
the wheels on his bus have come off since the convention, i am wondering if he'll get them back on...

I cant find anyone energized to vote for him, other than those who hate bush and would even vote for al bundy.

heard excerpts of him on Imus the other morning and again, i have no idea what he would do in Iraq or what he would've done. other than "gather a coalition" which we cant prove either way.

I dont buy either sides party line, the flip flop i've actually listened to and observed. I have no issue what he said after nam, i do have change of story issues with him about it though. IMO he just needs to make a stand, and stick to it, he reminds me of the guys trump always fires for inability to lead and indecission.

Nader should be allowed on tickets in ever state, as should ross perot and anyone else who wants to run, they shouldnt all get fed money, thats another discussion. He shouldnt be kicked off cuz gore lost, hell if gore won his home state.....(unheard of losing)

now kerry is trotting out kennedy, that should hurt him with independents. but help bring support to his base and those way way lefties that would've voted for nader.

the rather scandle will help bush and his ratings are dropping when they should be rising. they always rise in scandals. not coming clean makes it look like bush is being framed.

Bush will be on O'reilly next week, that will be interesting. Russert ate him for lunch. Also ate kerry too though.

good point about my defending Kerry...LOL truly that's all i got ...

and yeah more people dislike Bush than like Kerry...that's not a good sign, i see that as more dangerous to our security than anything else going on....

you might want to start taking a look at some of the support Bush has been losing in the Senate lately--even the Republicans there are not happy with him.....
his overtime Orders were countermanded and now he is being critisized for Iraq by his own party too...

the more research i do, the more outright lying i find.
the Iraqi WMD intelligence presented to congress and the senate was hand-selected by the White House.
not only were they presented with intel that incorrectly portrayed Saddam as having massive stockpiles of WMD but they were presented with "evidence" that Iraq was working on missiles capable of reaching America......
the intel community doesn't offer JUST ONE set of analyses.....
i think we the people deserve to see ALL of this evidence and learn how it came to be presented strongly enough to convince US to invade a Iraq.
we are in Iraq, we are going to finish the job NO MATTER the cost,
i want something MORE than 5 word sentences explaining the situation....
"the world is better off?"

are our elections going to be determined by sound bites?????????

i DO NOT FEEL SAFER
