If that sucker hits New Orleans, it will finish the city. Bodies from the cemeteries will be floating all over the place. Been there many times and it's a great city to visit.

Yeah I was in the traffic. We had to evacuate my father who was inhome hospice care from Biloxi to Sardis. Hospice would only transport him thirty miles and it would cost just over three grand to do so. We ended up transporting him ourselves. 49 from gulfport to jackson was literally a parking lot. Normally the trip would take about five or six hours... this time thanks to Ivan it took fourteen. Add to that a man three days from death, on fifteen litres of oxygen and a limited supply of O2 tanks loaded in the back of my pick up. Lots of fun. Do your loved ones a favor... Get a living will today, do not force upon them what I have just lived through.

DiQuiRiesco, I'm so sorry about your Dad! My husbands father had a living will, and it made decisions a bit easier, but people, if your parent has one, you need to be sure to find doctors that will abide by it, when you take them to a hospital or home, because they can go against it. It kind of makes you think it might not be worth it, but in the end, it was helpful! We at least knew what his wishes were, and tried to abide by them the best that we could!
